I can understand someone wanting a Cat type deal (jam today) but I can also understand why SEE appear to be against the idea (a lot more jam tomorrow). However, the gap has to be filled some way. The contract values are still there, but delayed significantly but factoring could help.

During Ken's 31/08 interview he said that SEE expected to have double the number of units installed by the financial year end ie 20,000 in total. The figure is, or was recently, 14,615. To reach 20,000, just under 337 units need to be installed per week. It's possible that SEE can install and reach that figure, somewhat delayed but reached and obviously income has been lost, or rather delayed. As is known, SEE use factoring and could potentially increase it's use which together with engineering milestone payments (from FCA) could reduce the funding shortfall to manageable amounts. Saying that I still expect some form of fund raising to happen but first indications are Fleet has turned the corner, fingers crossed!

Terry As Semicast said, Fleet most definitely does have a value. And yes it is not far away from being at least the current value of the company. Time to fulfil those orders SEE. Will production line fitted DMS also be monitored? Maybe not but could be an option.

DT IF it stayed at that level 18,000 installed units, 18,000 would be achieved within another 4 weeks and 29,000 units by the end of the financial year. Obviously there must be orders there to fill also. I would love to believe it but I will wait and see. As S2020 said, it could be a large client doing a bulk install.

It would appear there's very recently been a ramp up from roughly 500 to near a 1,000 IF it continues. I wonder why, other than the year end approaching. How much do SEE get from a G2 sale, I'm thinking somewhere just above $1,000 from memory?

Lewbo Be it in an off road vehicle or on road vehicle, it's still guardian so quite probably the 18,000 (soon?) includes off road. I'm not sure whether one monitoring centre covers both but a distraction event is the same for both and financially it would make sense for one centre to cover both.

Terry Nick Di Fiore in the recent interview said there would be 18,000 Guardian units connected soon.? Would have to listen again to get the full wording /meaning.

TLS Chill, SEE has a lead that, with the ever increasing data provided by Guardian leading to improved algorithms, if anything will widen and will quite probably not be bridged before we're no longer independent. As for legislation, if it's not about safety why have it?

TLS Yes, maybe worked with but a year is a long time in which a lot can change. Eyesight is convenience, Seat is part of VAG, it looks like we're in a Skoda, also part of VAG, and yes legislation will very soon be in force for safety DMS which Seeing Machines might be able to help VAG with.

I don't think numbers is Ken's strong point. Are the OEM's going to wait until there is competition in order that SEE don't get more than 33.3% of the market? Well, I don't think legislation is going to wait. Martin Krantz said SmartEye were aiming for 60% of the market. Methinks someone is underpromising and someone is over promising.

Let's hope Safestocks prediction of SEE getting 75% of the DMS market is correct. Although maybe SEE will no longer be independent by then.

....about Audi and BMW it certainly doesn't sound like SEYE technology!

Well Richard would say that. The fact is SEYEs kit only works at under 40mph as both Audi (unless Cenkos lied, hardly likely) and BMW (a motor reviewer I believe) have stated. BMW chose SEE for later models, Mercedes chose SEE after trialling SEYE, FCA chose SEE despite Viktor believing it was in the bag and how many reports do you get comparing, say, a SEYE supplied car with a Tesla? The answer is none as SEYE isn't capable of Level 2,let alone Level 3. And what it boils down to is SEYE, at present, is a convenience DMS and legislation on the way is for safety DMS, which is SEE. Semicast's tweet and table from 25/02/19 is stark reading for anyone of Swedish persuasion who seem to be doing a very impressive ostrich impersonation.
