So, not only have SEE maybe not won Toyota but Fotonation has a better chance of winning it than SEYE, despite Viktors desperate protestations that there is not convenience and couldn't understand the difference between the two even if you drilled it in to him. Fotonation, by all accounts, makes SEYE look good but Viktor in his ignorance seems to believe that any old DMS will do, going round in ever decreasing circles.

Viktor, I assume you read this board, either this is the worse bit of financial analyism or you know it is but don't care. Which one is it Viktor?

Stage 1 - OEM chooses Aptiv with SEYE tech
Stage 2 - Drawbacks in SEYE tech become clear
Stage 3 - OEM choose Veoneer with SEE tech to replace SEYE tech

Tier 1's and DMS

Stage 1 - Tier 1 decides DMS is easy peasy and develops own in house DMS.
Stage 2 - Tier 1 realises DMS isn't easy and it's tech is pap
Stage 3 - Tier 1 goes to SEE, uses SEE DMS and markets as own DMS. Saves face.

I'm not sure. I think, after being starved of news the previous months, recently the news flow has improved and yes, there are a number of contracts that should have been issued by now. This may be down to SEE but it may also be down to Tier 2's dragging their feet. Or quite probably both for their own reasons.
And just like we were somewhat surprised when the recent news flow started, we may be even more surprised when the Auto RNS start dropping. It's even possible, if a Tier 1 has won more than one OEM, that SEE could issue multiple RNS on one day.

No, it's SmartEye. I think in one article I've seen it was limited to 37mph. However, that wasn't because of SmartEye tech but the camera's. Radar won't suffice.

If it's ADAS it's SEE unless SEYE has bought a job lot of Lidar at very much rock bottom prices ie 9%+ less than current cost as with radar SEYE just won't be available 99%+ of the time. And, that ain't safety. It seems the market is gearing up for ADAS generally, although some may for now, pay lip service to DMS and save a few dollars a car by opting for the convenience option.
That is until NCAP ramps up the testing criteria.

Aren't SEE recession proofed anyway? It always is very conservative in contract values. Its RNS writers are in a permanent recession!

In the (roughly) Auto sector, most money /investment has been sucked up by AV. You've got to ask how much more of an appetite will those same investors for throwing even more money at it with yet more promises of Level 4 cars on the roads in large numbers with the expected date getting pushed back even further into the future to a point the investment funds can't justify it to the investors.
What S2020 rings true, the growing order book is sure to attract some disillusioned AV investors.
