IMO not enough to buy SEE out. Maybe a strategic investment but full buy out if it depleted their reserves completely would mean it had all the IP and ever growing data bank for peanuts imo

Safestocks commented that FCA could not afford to go with anyone but SEE as America's other Big 2 had gone with SEE, which was the superior of the two available options. Assuming Safestocks to be correct, how would this leave the remaining 4 of the Big 9 as they not only compete nationally but also internationally? Interesting times indeed!

One thing that Semicast said that may be relevant is AIM shares are usually valued on a discounted cash model, hence where we are! Maybe an American listing is back on the agenda?

Seb, good question. I think the problem is no one has ever data of this sort so I suppose it's how much an organisation is prepared to pay. Wednesdays RNS - R may have been the opening salvo in a tug of war which will value the whole company, data, Fleet, Auto and all. Or it could be SEE using an RNS to advise any potential low ball bidder that SEE is well aware of it's true value and to take a running jump. Or both. Interesting times)))

And by Easter, the data bank will be roughly 4 times what it is now, or was a day ago. Would the value of the data go up in line with the amount of data (after a certain level) or when does it start to level of?
