-----"CTW has agreed to act as interim Non-Executive Chairman until such time that new NEDs are appointed and the board makes its final decision on the Chairman role."
------Get some (*2) NED on board and promote CTW to the role of Chairman----sorted
Can't agree with that YKIR-----I certainly don't see us being de-listed.
---It will only take the addition of one or two, good quality NED's to satisfy our Nomad, and comply with aims rules.
-This really has nothing to do with de-listing and more to do with the power between the Chairman and the CEO.
--On what we have seen CTW is a breathe of fresh air, and maybe he should be promoted to a permanent role as Chairman.
Clearly a power struggle going on here between Tang and CTW.------From sh point of view it must be better to have the full BOD engaged in every aspect of the project and planning and not all in the hands of one individual.
-If there are no skeletons coming out of the wardrobe about CTW, and it is purely a power struggle, then we need to be given the full story in order to be able to vote correctly.
-How the Co can give us clear information and guidance, when the CEO has instigated the whole process, is going to be interesting.
--- We cannot be expected to vote, without the facts, but who in the co is going to be able to give the other side of the story to the one that Tang is putting out.-----he's their boss.
--Judging by this detailed RNS (the best we have ever had)---it would seem that we should hang on to CTW at all costs.
Be careful what you wish for YKIR,. Last time anyone tried ot oust Tang, he de_listed the Co.
... Ask POLO shareholders
At some stage, this will find a level....
... Don't be too clever trying to find the bottom
It's a rolling short.... Open it up in the morning, and force sp down.. Generate distressed sellers and use them to close the short throughout the day..... Repeat tomorrow.
... But at some stage this will find a level.... Don't be too clever trying to find the bottom
Goon----at some stage Char will announce they have a RIG and are getting ready to drill----that will be the "buy" signal---but not before.
-
-As for GCM--- xxxxxx
Got to hand it to them, whoever started this rolling short has done a terrific job-----got pi's by the throat, with no intervention from II's.
"Sh@t or bust on the drill"...
... That's it in a nutshell Gooner.
. You can forget the offshore for a while now,.. Maybe drill that well later this year, then FID, and finally start development and then into production... how long will that take?.. I don't know, but I had a look at thier Karish project, and it was 6 years from getting involved up to first gas... Maybe not comparing apples with apples, but close enough to make me cautious about putting a time scale on the offshore.
. So we are back to exploration drilling onshore, as our closes revenue.... Drill Q1??, words are cheap, let's see the drilling start, then all the other things before we produce and sell first gas.
. That drill needs to find good commercial gas straight off.
Unfortunately SMTM you are of course dead right.
-There must be deals already in operation that are keeping various people in luxury, and we will need to offer a huge incentive to be able to turn things in our favour.
-One of the biggest hurdles, must be that we are still regarded as a "foreigner" trying to steal the crown jewels, and of course, i suppose we are.-------
-Would it be different if GoB owned the licence and not GCM--you bet it would---and i'm sure that if that had been the case, then the deposit would have been dug up years ago.
-So how can the Gov change things ?
--By getting hold of the licence, or at least a huge % of it----so here's a suggestion.
-It looks like we have another placing heading our way, ---anything from say £500/- to £3 mill.
-So instead of just giving it to unnamed II's, how about giving the whole issue of new stock to GoB.
--A fund raise of say £2 mill @2p could give the GoB 100mill shares, or about 33% of GCM.
that really would be a substantial stake for next to nothing, and would put us all on the same page.
-I did suggest this to the Co, but as usual, I got no reply.
I think that everyone misses the point when they start talking about how dirty coal is.
-Bangla are using coal right now to fire their existing power plants.--
--If they now stop using imported coal, and start using their "own coal", this is not a "new use" or even an increased use.---It is just using coal from a different source.------In fact the coal from Phulbari is of a much better quality than the carp being imported from the likes of Indonesia, with a much higher calorific content.---So not only is it less polluting, but they would probably burn less of it for the same effect.
-So LESS coal used, LESS pollution, and LESS FX drain
-
-It's win, win, win
12, 000 MW would be almost impossible for solar power----how much land would that involve.
-
-But don't like the sound of it
Must have been a few others that levered their position in the same way, and this SP drop would have put the same pressure on them as well, ----so very likely we had multiple distressed sellers.----but looks like thats maybe all finished now-----time to buy ??
Ianfer--some good research here by you, it makes a lot of sense, and goes a long way to explain the SP drop.
---Much appreciated.
Cd27.... With the length of time since the last RNS, there is clearly something going on.
. It TRAM had pulled out, I'm sure the Co would have been forced to inform the mkt.
.. Think we will just have to sit and wait.
-------Unless power china buy out GCM---
-Hasina needs that licence back under Bangla ownership, or at least not owned by GCM, as the locals have always resisted "foreigners".
---With it's involvement in projects across the country, China has been accepted as "part of Bangla", and a JV between Power China and GOB would be easily sold to the people without a fight.
Yes great work Searcher, some good finds.----As you say MUD, being talked about all the time now, and not just "own coal " in general, but specifically Open Pit at Phulbari.
----But the best bit of the lot, is that it is not being contradicted by Hasina.
-She was in the area last week, addressing a rally. If she was ever going to say "no open pit mining, your farm land will not be mined"----then was the time to say it---but she didn't.
-Her silence is the most positive thing ive read.
-Happy new year all.
-Next year we could all be ---- ect ect
Can't hear you....... Lol
Yes searcher, suspended over what could be the most important announcement in the company's history.
-If its bad, you wont be able to get out,
-and if its good then you wont be able to get in
-
something is not right here---not right at all---where is all this buying coming from now ???
Suspended "next week"----you couldn't make it up.
---I'm speechless
