Where are we now18 Dec 2025 20:06
--- Its not worth going over all the pros and cons of Bangla using their own coal and going for OPM at Phulbari, as everything has been said a million times already-----so what's next---------we wait.
-For almost a year now the SP reached a level where everyone could see the ceiling and the floor, and the trading levels were set in stone.----5--7p just about covered it and it has been marched up, and down again, many times in that range.
-Now as we draw near to what could be the sharp end, trading has become a dangerous game, and the FOMO, (from maybe just one statement) has left many, frozen in the headlights.
-So what to do now ?
-The sensible answer would have been, to do nothing, --just batten down the hatches, and wait, ---but MMks don't get paid for sitting there with no turnover, ----they have to MAKE things happen.
-The Finals have been and gone, --the AGM has been and gone.----No news as yet on the MOU with Power China, (or anyone else), ---and no leaks about the Energy Policy-----which could leave a few weeks of news/expectation vacuum-----and NO TURNOVER.----------that's no good for MMks.
-So what do they do?
-Being near the bottom of the year long trading range, they could either accumulate, and then move the SP up and attract buyers, ---or----They could go short, drop the SP and hope to shake out some sellers---what did they choose ?
-Well I hope you all paid attention this morning, because they played an old card trick again, but I think this time, they have made a mistake.
--Looking at the trades this morning, im guessing that they went short, by filling in buying limits at the 5.50 ish level and then dropping the SP hoping to frighten a few loose holders into selling---but it has not worked.---in fact they have run into one or two buyers instead.
-Looking at the early action, I think they shorted maybe around 300/-=====maybe they got 50/- sales, but then lost another 50/- to buyers--leaving them a net 300/- short on the day.
-It's Fri tomorrow, and then we are almost into the Christmas shutdown, --(mks always have a good blue day just before the Xmass break)-----so they will need to close that short before they can close their books on 2025.
-No news --is just that ---its not bad news---so nothing to fear.
-But---An RNS about the MOU--or a leak about the Energy policy, and we are off on another run, leaving the MMks scrambling to close that short.
-
-Fun and games-------and watch the small trades.
-
-Happy Christmas and GLA for 2026.
