So this was the conclusion of the seminar.... I was really disappointed that we hadn't had any feedback, but here it is.

"if" there is a share issue fund raise the price will be governed by the mkt sp, and any discount.

..the Co may of course find other ways to raise funds other than a share issue, we will have to wait and see.

.. Now we have a seminar. (To go with the umpteen studies that have already been done) and this one will include the students.

. If we can get them onside from the off, then maybe even the young greenies will see the value of own coal, and maybe even start to push for it.

.. With all the studies and committees that have happened in the past on this project, there should be plenty of pros and cons available right from the off and a quick recommendation could be made.

And that sums up everything that has been wrong at Bara right from the very start.

-No proper studies were ever undertaken before the mine was given the go-ahead.

-Right from extracting the coal, to storing the coal, to its effects on the water table and water sources for human consumption, to its effects on the houses above the tunnelling, and the very land itself , which is cracking and subsiding, and flooding in the newly created depressions.

--And lastly, most most importantly.

-There was never any provision for compensation for the people that have either been displaced or now are living in fear of their very houses collapsing around them-and all this is now coming home to roost.-------

-----Yes of course the people are protesting.

----Now compare that situation to Phulbari.---where every aspect has been scrutinised over and over .=====Were all the problems have been confronted (and not swept under the carpet)-----and were PROPER account has been taken of the people and provision for full and fair compensation is already on the table.

Come on GCM....now is the right time to put it in all the press...... Use our coal.
