RE: Bangladesh's Phulbari Coal Reserves Hold a Massive $83 Billion in Value, China Offers to Help1 Mar 2025 12:31
Sometimes you just want to scream with these people.----
----- After 20 years of trying to make out that Phulbari doesn't even exist, they finally have a seminar about using their own coal--and what's the result--
-
------ well maybe or maybe not---lets leave it to the next government.
-
-This is the same Gov that, at the drop of a hat, has approved 150 sites for (or is it 500 I've forgotten) to cover in Solar panels.-----------They have also given the go-ahead for anybody to drill were ever they want, and try and find gas, ---and no doubt they would let you cover the whole land in wind turbines if you asked---------but mention Coal, and they splutter into their tea and change the subject.
-Having successfully avoided making any conclusions, or recommendations, from this seminar, they can now go back to sleep for two months, and enjoy their Ramadan.-----------------Then it will be monsoon season ect ect ect----you get the picture----all the way up to the next Gen Election---and god knows when that will be-----then it will be down to the next administration to make the final call-------------round and round and round.
---
---Having had this seminar , and gone over all the pro's and con's (again), surely they must have reached some sort of consensus, and been in a position to at least put a recommendation to any new Gov, whether that is Mine or No Mine, ---otherwise, what was the point of the seminar.
-
----Well i suppose we should be grateful for small mercies, ----at least Phulbari is being mentioned, but as they go into Ramadan, will it now go all silent again and take us ever closer to our next fund raise.
