RE: Irish Sunday Times23 Mar 2025 11:10
You're quite right 36800, we shareholders are a little in the dark as to what is really going on.---- but again the Irish Sunday Times, seems to have the full story, and has spelt it all out again today.
-By the sounds of things TRI approached SLE late last year and tried to resurrect a deal. We dont know the details of this latest deal, other than this proposed share swap, and buy the sounds of things , all was agreed ---(and signed ???).
-The problem appears to be that once again TRI have not followed through and completed their half of the deal.
-The deal from 2023 collapsed as the cash loan from TRI never arrived..(no, I do not know the reasons why).
-Now here we are again, and it looks like a similar problem.
-A deal (instigated by TRI ?), which on paper looked fairly straight forward, has again hit the buffers, --and certainly I am at a loss as to understand why.
-The deal (or at least the part that we now know about), involved just a straight share swap of $50mill worth of SLE stock for $50 mill worth of Palantir Tech stock.----As far as I can make out, this deal was signed and sealed, but not delivered.------------------------Once again TRI did not complete their side of the deal, and reading between the lines, this is what has created all the tension between the two parties.
-I'm not sure how long the share swap has been outstanding , but reading things, it seems that weeks have passed and no stock has arrived from TRI (the same as the cash never arrived from the first deal), and this has been the source of the friction, and now the pending court case.
-I'm at a loss as to understand TRI's position here.---if a deal has been done -why do they not follow through and deliver the stock, and conclude things.
-To do it once was maybe understandable, but to do it again leaves questions unanswered.
