Considering your above statement. If we are near bottom I would expect to see more severe shorting In the summer of 2020 we were looking at shorts just shy of 10%.

I think this forum is about more than pure financial outcomes. RMG is a factor in British history agreed but its history in more recent years has been as a tool of the CWU. How many times have we been subjected to the Union rhetoric.
This current attempt at reorganisation is long overdue. The bad apples need weeding out. This is not merely a shareholders viewpoint. Countless posties over the years have mentioned the workshy element. The survival of I. D. S is dependant on change.

I don't get involved in the majority of discussions currently because the language and general nasty comments don't sit well with me.
Occasionally a particularly nasty individual has to be engaged but I dont include you in that category.
Put quite simply I try to see things from both sides unless someone goes over the top.
I firmly believe this mess will be resolved albeit with changes which I feel in time will make the company stronger.

Motley: IDS shareholders, the group has withdrawn its interim dividend. The company will “look at the potential to pay a final dividend…from earnings in GLS” — which doesn’t sound optimistic to me. Indeed, I now expect no cash payouts from it over the next 12 months.

Newdealz. Obviously K. Will want to increase at the lowest possible price. I sincerely hope he will have to wait a considerable time before that happens.
Perhaps he may wish to see how things pan out and therefore not rush in, After all he's no fool.

I agree, your comments regarding events at I.D.S were fair and simply voicing your view of the current situation.
There will be plenty of opportunities to buy more here if you choose to do so. Of course you will prefer to do so at the best possible price, what that is remains to be seen.
My impression is that your more than capable of sorting the "wheat from chaff" in which case this can be a pleasant board. Best wishes.

I have no doubt that your comments contain an element of truth. However as you only criticise management I have to add "a pinch of salt"
Should you care to temper your comments with criticism of postie's failings then your management criticisms would carry more weight.

The above is spouting often repeated comments which are supposedly the thoughts of the majority of shareholders. I don't believe this to be the case. To dispel any doubt as to my personal view, my recent post stated as follows :-

"Of course the management are due some criticism as are an element of the general workforce. But I don't suppose the general public want Royal Mail back.
Common sense needs to prevail here and seems there isn't much being used."

Thompson conducted himself as I would expect from the company CEO. Burley however conducted the interview in a one sided confrontational manner.
As a long term shareholder in RMG the CEO has my vote.

They have been adjusting slightly for a while.
