D. R. The discussion was referring to the U. K. five day proposal. My suggestion 25th November also referred to U. K. addressed cards. I believe most households would display Christmas cards when received.

Ah! Derek, a failure to plan will often have similar results.
My example is of my Birthday cards being subjected to the vagaries of my daughters International travel. We resolved the problem by her always posting a month early. The rule is, no opening until my Birthday. Sometimes the event is enhanced by the card sitting unopened for maybe 14 days.
So to answer the question you posed, All Christmas cards must be posted 25th NOVEMBER.

Easily remedied "post early for Christmas"
Christmas day is the 25th December and has been for many years. The sender should accept blame if their Christmas greeting is delivered late.
