IMO, That's a good thing, lost count of the times over the years that I've heard about chats explaining the posties view of forthcoming strikes etc.
A postie is employed to deliver post. Not give a one sided viewpoint to customers.

Oli. Long ago I researched ST's background and although can't recall if it was during employment with Apple or another. But at the time I noted for future reference that he was responsible for reducing the company workforce throughout the E. U.

Presumably more agency staff until IDS either goes bust or GLS is bought for a pittance. I can't imagine that's in the interest of public or posties. However we're told here that the general public are fully supportive of the posties. Presumably therefore the total revamp brought about by the CWU who represent the posties will also be accepted.

I'm not a labour supporter but, have the Tories supported the slice of society you mention. Seems they have concentrated on those that would pay for redecorating at Downing Street etc.

Had posties been experienced at the Bar they might also accept the 25% being reduced to 15%.
We can't all be barristers so what about circa 9% reduced to 4.5% ?

Derek, I assume from the following that the costs to the taxpayer would be substantial. However I have no personal experience so assume that you are correct in your statement?

I can't see it's in the posties best interest to delay matters but then I'm not the CWU earning while the clock ticks.

I wonder if the general public would consider the USO benefits worthwhile if the costs to the tax payer were clearly presented. Of course I'm referring to a situation where postal deliveries were again nationalised.
