JB. We know sometimes it's better to take a current offer than risk the oppositions position becoming more entrenched. I suspect the Company negotiation will harden as they proceed further with their reorganisation.
I cannot see the employees situation improving with strikes. Better doing the job and being paid than standing on an picket line while losing pay.

JB. Surely by now it's sinking in with the CWU plus rank and file? This is not the usual situation of causing mayhem and see what we can get from the RMG coffers.
RMG have obviously drawn up a response to the anticipated CWU advances and its now in progress. To be honest it's what I wish to see. A Company has to be led from the top.
The employee now has a choice, either find alternate employment or get on board with the best deal on offer and see what can be accomplished within the new environment.
My choice would be the latter. I hope they do the same. If not best wishes in the new employment.

There has always been a sense of the posties fights being backed by the "great British public" now though I feel the shine is somewhat tarnished. I hope that's not the case because I'm sure the average postie is a decent hardworking individual.

My understanding is that many feel safer with the perceived might of the Unions backing. Never been in that situation personally.
It's understandable though, some are not confident of their abilities others possibly like the idea of the bolshy environment who knows.
I hope for a satisfactory conclusion that all can live with. Its going to take some doing and a bit of mutual fibre and take.

We are usually bombarded here, but there is an absence of obvious Trolls. Their not required for the time being as the Company is being damaged by its own workforce. In the meanwhile the shorters continue to take the "bread from their mouths"
