Apologies for posing my question - I haven't got my thinking-cap on. - We already know what the production figures were for Sept.- The company has already stated a figure of 48,511 ounces. - So, the clue is in the monthly-profit payment as to the month's production. - With no weekly shipping news, it looks as though that is all we'll have to go on. - At least it's better than nothing.- It will require similar payment for the 3 months of Q4 to hit the revised target. - Variations in POG will have an affect of course.

Hi Picket - Interesting link. - It's just my view but the thing about the US is that they don't play by convention. They change the rules to suit their circumstances. - In order for the situations outlined in the link to come about, America is going to have to roll-over and accept defeat. - It won't! - No way jose in my opinion.- For years now, leading commentators/academics have been forecasting the demise of the US economy. So far they've all been wrong. - They've been wrong because America has consistently resorted to tactics that nobody thought possible. - Tactics that have defied conventional economic teaching/wisdom as well as accepted norms of morality.. This trend will continue, make no mistake.- One day maybe, who knows, but failing war or similar Armageddon, I doubt it'll be in our life time. AIMO of course.

I might be wrong but I think what spot means is the actual monthly amount they are receiving, I believe it is paid monthly, which would provide a clue - Siko used monthly profit payments in one of his recent posts. - But why not resume weekly shipment bulletins. - Does everything now have to be so cryptic! - It's only if there's something to hide as evidenced in recent silence.

Communications will provide the clue I feel. - If the current preference for silence is maintained, especially with regards to weekly shipments, then the real possibility of a third profit-warning exists, I agree with Sotolo on that score. - The silence builds a wall, through which we cannot see. It becomes a barrier to the revelation of the truth. - If the September production figures are truly representative of the current state-of-play, then weekly shipment figures, the ones we have become used to and have grown to rely upon for clues for several years now, will reveal the direction in which we are heading. - AIMO :-) - Let's see what happens. - Any bets anyone

If you think there's been ample evidence of manipulated gold/silver markets in recent years you aint seen nottin yet! - IMO - To a certain extent, covert interference has been the state of play. We've reached a point now where naked, brazen, open manipulation will begin to kick-in. - Hiding places are becoming scarce now and because of the urgent need to maintain control, the whole manipulation thing will have to be performed in broad-daylight. and will include a lot more than gold/silver. - AIMO. of course.

Hi jonboy - Also what they have is a court-ruling against their licence, the effects of which have been temporarily suspended but not overturned. - 7 years and still counting.

Not much reaction in the gold price just now as a consequence of the stock-market fall. - What will it take I'm wondering!

Hi stokey - Agree, that's a fair point.

It's not unreasonable to assume that the fall is connected with ST2 T&C's. - If it is the case, then, unfortunately, that does mean information is being leaked. - Oft times when a new finance arrangement is in the pipeline, unexplained price movements, preceding finalisation, become crystal clear. - The devil will be in the detail as they say. - We'll see.

I've been trying to obtain information on shipments. Weekly shipments will confirm that we are back on-track, or not, and that Sept. production isn't a mirage. - They will also serve as an indicator to the market in general, which should have a beneficial effect on the SP. - I've been trying to navigate the el-balad news site where shipment movements are covered. - I don't know if it's me or what but I struggle with the process. - I'd be grateful if others can have a go with a view to keeping us in the picture. - cheers.

Hi Marmot - Agree with your thoughts here. A lot of sense in what you say. - Had they given themselves some wriggle room with their Q2 revised guidance along the lines you suggest then a second revised guidance would not have been necessary.

Maybe he looked uncomfortable in Denver due to the fact that what he was saying was not the true position. - It may be true that he couldn't reveal the truth because it had not been officially released and I think that's a reasonable point to make . - However, it does expose the smoke and mirrors tactics employed even at the most important Gold mining forum in the world. - I'm assuming that what is conveyed here to the investment world is of some importance.
He would know the true position when he used the old-guidance figures in his address. - Finally, bringing the prelims forward to Friday is a cunning ploy that they have used twice already this year and the year isn't out yet.- This company is beginning to exude a bad-smell. - I expressed my view after Q2 that we weren't being told the truth. I also expressed a view that as a result of the silence another revised guidance could soon be winging our way. - As it turns out I was right on both counts, unfortunately.- As has been stated by some of our posters who are experienced and knowledgeable about the mining-industry, set-backs for all sorts of reasons are par for the course for the industry, they are expected. I believe this fact is accepted by most investors. What is not acceptable, to me at any rate, is the way we are now being blatantly lied to as a device for covering up incompetence. -

Good morning Somnamna - Thank you for that. - So, it looks as though it's been brought forward deliberately to provide a weekend cushion effect. - I remember earlier in the year requesting that the final dividend payment be brought forward by a day, from the 6th April to the 5th, in order to maintain tax allowance equilibrium and also prevent 3 payments from occurring in the following year. - Not possible I was told. -

Providing shipment news is restored, we should get a clue as to how well production is going and whether the figures provide confirmation that September production figures are indeed correct. - If they are restored and in line with latest output, we could possibly see a quick response to the SP. - A matter of a few weeks I would have thought.
If they are not restored and the wall of silence is maintained, it will be painful. - It'll be interesting to see what actually happens. - I should add that if the weekly news is not restored then that also provides a clue IMO.

If the reported production figures for September are correct then there may be some light beginning to shine through. - I emphasise, if they are correct. - Being familiar with how the current set-up communicates, for example, embracing non-truth in their statements in order to deliberately deceive and to take the sting out of bad-news, it wouldn't surprise me if September output was deliberately back-loaded in order to create the illusion that the grade-problems are behind us and it's back to normal service. - Q4 forecast appears to confirm that Sept. output is real, however, I take any forecast now with a pinch of salt, since lies/deceit have formed the foundation of most recent forecasting, once management start to use this formulae as their model, it becomes difficult to disseminate fact from fiction.- I stated in earlier posts after the Q2 shenanigans that the remainder of the year would tell it's own story and boy is it doing just that. - Unfortunately, you have to be a fan of horror stories to enjoy it.

The maintaining of guidance last week at Denver must have been an out and out deliberate lie. - I'd like to know how they can get away with that. - An official public statement in front of thousands and communicated to millions.
