I wonder if Centamin's experience with the CC has put bidders off? - I have no doubt they will be aware of it. - A legal-system that doesn't function has got to be a 'Red flag' you would have thought.

The interesting thing now is why the 5 areas were taken out of the tender process. - Picked-up by Cowichan with his eagle-eye, it would appear there is a strategy in-play. - I wonder what it is and how it affects Centamin.

Well, there we are, we're in the picture. - We now know why an extension was granted. - I only hope the courts are not involved in the decision making. I must say, I thought there was an announcement on the 15th. - I should have been more thorough in my understanding. Let's hope the theory about leaving applications to the very last-minute is correct. If it isn't, I wonder where that leaves everything.

Yep - As I keep reminding - Don't forget this is Egypt. - As previously stated, I'll be surprised if the July 15th is a straightforward announcement.- Mind you, if Centamin is not seriously involved in the mix, it'll be time to start worrying.

Since, in their annual-report, they identify their No. 1 risk as 'Single -mine-dependency', it would be strange if they have not applied. - However, once you bring Egypt into the equation, anything is possible. - IMO

I wonder what investor reaction will be if it turns out that Centamin hasn't applied for any new-permits.

As the POG increases, it places greater value on the W. African assets, which is not yet reflected in the S.P. - This value is currently off -radar and overlooked. IMO

Tomorrow likely BIS futures settlement day. - Once out of the way, gold could potentially start a run.

Around 3 weeks from now, we should know, one way or the other, whether we have been successful in the bidding-round for new permits. -Assuming of course a bid has been made. - Not long to go. - It's the next big news event I think, although if I'm wrong and something meanwhile eclipses it, I fear it can only be bad-news.
