RE: What Afc have sold, contrary to the idiots on here that l8ve in a dream world & keep saying they havnt sold anything26 Nov 2024 08:55
I'll put this into context.
That context includes the fact that I bought 35 thousand odd shares yesterday as I thought I was detecting the sort of patterns that often presage some meaningful (good) news. let's hope my reading of the tea leaves - and let's be honest, that's all it really is, is accurate. I don't really expect anything other than a stream of vitriol and abuse in return but, heigh ho, each to their own.
Sales into Speedy Hire Services. We do not know:
(a) How many units that represents
(b) Whether all or any of those units are out on hire, generating power and income
and as SHS is a joint venture of which we own 50% simple logic says that a substantial amount of that £4m income came out of one pocket and into another.
Nifty Lift. Yes, we have a contract for 136 cells. They are not delivered yet and not paid for yet so describing them as sales is premature. NL is a large enterprise and if we become a major supplier to them then that could be a very lucrative partnership. But 136 is not a big number and we have no idea how much income that will generate and whether it includes a positive margin. Given their overall scale I'd describe it as a substantial trial and one that indicates a potentially material commitment, but it is potential for now.
Acciona. One unit to a firm that we have worked with for c. three (?) years cannot in any way be described as material. It is a trial (as was said on the Investor Meets Call) and may or may not lead to sales/leases. We simply don't know.
Tamgo. The sale of one unit again can't be described as material. It appears it is a demonstration unit for potential Tamgo customers and we hope they are impressed enough to get involved with significant orders, but again we don't know.
ABB. One unit hopefully going out of the door soon. I did submit a question to the IMC re whether the order from some time ago for another ten was still relevant but sadly that wasn't addressed. So again, we have hope but no material sales yet.
So your positing that these are the preludes to 'huge orders' is not based on anything related to fact. It is hope, and it is a hope I and others share. Likewise your statement that we have 'new customers' has no foundation other than optimism and that applies equally to the cracker as it does to fuel cells.
In short we are very short on actual orders that generate real revenue and that just isn't up for debate - it's fact. The markets over the last six months have delivered their verdict in how the alleged year of delivery has panned out and again that is undisputable fact.
I pin considerable hope on the new CEO finally commercialising what we all think are promising products but it seems self-evident that the market will reserve judgement until real commercial activity is achieved and producing ongoing revenue that shows a clear path towards profitability. Fingers crossed for 2025.
