RE: 28/03/2024 "the value of that Cracker, IS WELL IN EXCESS OF THE CURRENT MARKET CAP OF AFC ENERGY"7 Jan 2025 08:58
There's no doubt that AIM, and much or the wider market, is failing to value assets 'fairly' although, of course, fairness is seen from multiple angles.
Part of the problem is that companies at this scale are of minimal (i.e. no) interest to the vast majority of institutional investors as is evidenced by the list of disclosable shareholders being dominated by PI nominees. This was a problem when the market cap was in the several hundred million bracket but a much bigger one now that it's sub £100m. It just doesn't register at all.
As has been the case for some considerable time the only thing that will get this moving and revalued upwards is material sales. Whether that's of fuel cells or crackers I, like every other shareholder I imagine, couldn't care less but if it doesn't happen then there is no way that any fantastical valuation will be realised.
For the utterly disingenuous StockCheque to be quoting Bond from nearly a year ago as some sort of hard evidence of a real valuation is clearly ridiculous.
