Let's not over analyse things, folks. If you'd offered me a close at 287.5 this evening WITHOUT the elusive and much waited RNS, then I would have bitten your hand off. Nothing has changed materially, but we're 30p up!!
Lot's of T/O talk, big UK government spend to aim at, US situation to reveal AND that mythical RNS to come......

Agree CCK, everyone has their own agenda and/or circumstances. Why try and second guess them? It's done and NCYT still closed at 287.5...and with no news being delivered. Chill and have a beer....let's just see what Monday brings.

I can see the logic in this. If it was to happen, then I'd expect it to be soon. They'll want to negotiate a bargain now, that could prove far cheaper for the buyer than market value in 12 months.

I was. Steady rise today, then big boost on Monday would bring us bigger rewards. Don't get me wrong though, if your 300% rise came about today, I wouldn't be crying over it tonight.....!!

Just need our French friends to consolidate and hold above that 3 euro barrier today and NCYT will be sitting pretty for next week. This is a nice controlled rise. Don't want fireworks today, just steady as she goes.....

If I were sitting in the AZ board room, I'd be arguing for our broker to hoover up every NYCT share share I could at this price. Think it's going to break out soon......and without hard numbers to back it up yet. Lovely.

Gone through 3 euros.....

Again, if I were AZ, I'd actually move before these potential contracts were signed and try to grab a bargain. Bank on belief that I'm likely to get a larger share of the pie as AZ, rather than a collaboration with NYCT. They certainly wouldn't get a smaller slice, that's for sure.
But then, I ain't AZ and I have no idea what conversations are taking place......if only an investor's life was so simple!

My view would be more conservative, somewhere between £10 and £15 a share, but that would be if they moved fast. Twelve months time, anybody's guess.....

Agread Usain, I wasn't looking at it from a seller's point of view, but from a buyers. Buying at a premium now could be a hell of a lot cheaper than paying market value in 12 months. Just my opinion.

Hi fali, wasn't suggesting that it will happen, just that the conversations must be taking place. If I were on the acquisition trail for such a company, logic would suggest that I move now, or not at all. Probably won't happen, but if were to then I'd suggest it would be soon and at a value that could be very tempting to NCYT.

Agreed Bramley. The conversations must be taking place. Probably have been for some time, but current global outlook on testing has got to have added an extra element of urgency to any such discussions.

French market banging away at 3 euro level, but struggling to get through. When (if) it does, we'll see a wee uplift over here. Patience required here, but has the makings if a break through. Just need the volume and positive sentiment.

Not hoping for fireworks today, just a nice steady uplift that would put NCYT on the investor's radars when (or if) this ever elusive RNS lands. There's enough news around this to make that happen today. Nothing concrete, but enough to generate a wee bit of FOMO.
