Fact of the matter is that GDR have no track record, NCYT has been producing £10Ms of revenue for the past months and GDR nothing. If you're handing out contracts right now, who do you hand them to? It's like comparing apples and oranges, from both a commercial and investment point of view. Boat missed.

Hi, you have revenue of 1M in July, but there is no revenue in July. Indicative orders do not give revenue. I've seen a potential 7 week wait for approvals, so that writes off August revenues too. You cannot shift stock and invoice until approved. Your revenue estimations therefore have to start from September.
My fear is that, having waited for approvals, it's too late. Too late to get a seat at the WHO table, too late to have got a slice of the the UK's 5B pie.....just too late.

Agree teabiscuit. Think there are a few hoping that, if things go 100% in GDR's favour, then this might be a good bet. When you've believed for so long, it's difficult to take an objective view. However, the facts are that we're in the midst of a raging Covid pandemic and GRD have STILL not generated sales (indicative doesn't count). Big tenders underway now that they're going to miss. By the time they have approvals, the cake will have been shared out. I'm staying in Covid, but not in GDR.

I've had my Covid money spread over a few, inc GDR, but CCK is right. The market is now looking for cash generators (as am I), not jam tomorrow promises. At this stage, if all GDR can shout about is 1M in 'indicative sales', then I fear they've missed the boat. By the time they have their approvals, the cake will have been shared out. Others, such as NCYT, are making money now and have proven customers around the globe that are buying now. GDR does not.

Not the RNS I'd hoped for. Had 20% of my Covid stocks in here, but moving over to increase holding in NCYT. Looks a far better longer term bet now, far better fundamentals. They're cash rich, increased volume and good chance of a big SP rise short term.

A distinct possibility. To dismiss the idea outright is to ignore the clear indicators and the very nature of the sector they are in.

Totally agree Bramley. Huge amount for us to be excited about in NCYT and plenty that other companies will be very interested in. These are certainly exciting times. Strong HOLD for me.

DYOR, it's obviously better than my own. If the investment isn't for you (which, I'd suggest, it clearly isn't), then don't invest.

AML stated that the had 'more than 2000 orders', they did not state 2000 specifically. Including dealer demos, the number is currently in the region of 2500. I cannot supply you a link with the GP figures I stated, just as I doubt you could for the incorrect figures you came up with. However, after 35 years in the automotive arena, I can assure you that no manufacturer would invest what they have to recoup 12.5 and 13.5% on their expected volumes. As you rightly point out, that just wouldn't stack up. Unless they were actually planning fail. Doubt that.

However, DBX was delayed. Deliveries were to start in June, delayed by a month. Stroll simply stated that, as of the date of the RNS, they were on track to start in July - not that this was always the plan. It wasn't. They were delayed.

They're holding over 2500 DBX orders. Huge incoming interest, but not even a press report yet.
GP figure of 15% in incorrect, they'll be budgeting at a min of 30% per unit, that could rise to anywhere between 35 and 40% with hugely profitable extras.

Yet Paris down to 3 euros.....

Glad to see less predictions of an imminent RNS, news will come when it comes and I'm comfortable with that.
Reason for topping up is that I can only see two things coming. Either we step up on the back of very healthy 6 month figures and opportunity to take a bit of profit and then hold for longer term investment. Or (and I know a few disagree with this), I'm making sure I'd benefit from any 'out of the blue' news on major collaboration or T/O. I wholly appreciate that some dismiss this out of hand, but it is a very real possibility, as NCYT are prime candidates for such a move. Not being your preferred option doesn't make it impossible, or even unlikely. I want to cover both possibilities, hence topping up whilst I can. Increased government regulation covering such takeovers does NOT prevent such a move, it just makes it subject to more rigorous inspection to safeguard future supplies. It remains a distinct possibility IMO.

DTTB, appreciate they're busy, but if they weren't busy then they wouldn't be an obvious target. Not really sure why a few are dismissive of the potential for T/O, by most normal criteria they'd be seen as prime target.

Think that's a reasonable stance, we may see nothing on results until later in the month.
Doesn't do anything to dispel my hunch that there's something big brewing though, just allows them some breathing room to get their ducks in line....wish I was party to 'the big picture' conversations that will have been going on though.

I agree with Bramley, there's something happening behind the scenes here. It doesn't take until the 7th of the month to cobble together some basic sales figures. Nope there must be something extra to communicate.
My personal opinion is a major collaboration or buy out is on the cards. NCYT absolutely prime candidate for T/O, despite what some on here say (could someone tell us why they think NCYT would not be such a target?).

They're absolute buffoons, just ignore them.
Or rather, when they say 'sell', it's usually a good sign to buy.....
