We also can speculate that the antibodies generated by Covidity have higher affinity than other vaccines due to the addition of Avidimab.

The current vaccines produce a T Cell response. How potent are these responses compared to Immunobody generated T Cells with its dual presentation to APCs that gives very high avidity T Cells.

Also Immunobody is highly adaptable in that new targets can be easily added. This has got to be an advantage IMO.

Will the pharmajet devices provide the same level of APC penetration as electoporation?

So, a few unanswered questions at this stage. But if these questions eventually provide the right answers then Immunobody will be worth a fortune.
It is intriguing that Lindy mentioned that an Immunobody deal is on the cards if Covidity achieves its objectives.
It is not coincidental that CEPI are very interested in new platform technologies.

Perhaps we shouldn't moan about Scancell's timescales. :-)

We can also wonder about the current status of the work on the 5 TAGs, and what Lindy's plans are for each of them as far as commercial deals are concerned.
Is the plan to go as far as possible in research and then pre-clinical work and then seek deals? Of course, the 5 TAGs may be at different stages of research/development.

Lindy has also stated that each TAGs is a platform in its own right in that different methods of killing tumour cells are possible. So, for instance, when considering a single TAG, it may be possible to do a separate deal for each of the different killing methods.

Then on top of all those possible deals, there may be deals to be made for Avidimab applied to any other mAb owned by the pharma.

For Lindy to turn down 2 deals already, it does suggest that she can add value by doing the extra research and development.

We may be able to assume that the decision to perform the extra work on the TAGs started after the vote was passed on the granting of CLNs for Redmile. If this is the case, then up to a further 1 year's work may have already been carried out on the TAGs.

It is interesting to know that Professor Christian Ottensmeier was until recently at Southampton Uni.
He was also on Scancell's Grand Challenge team and, in addition, he is a member of the Moditope Clinical Advisory Board.
A Southampton hospital was also one of the centres for the original SCIB1 trial.

Perhaps it is no coincidence that Southampton Uni have chosen a DNA approach using a needle free method that sounds that it could be a pharmajet device.

If Covidity should be successful and attract a partner, it will be interesting to know the partner's stance on whether Covidity should be tested as a potential universal vaccine for other Coronaviruses.
Obviously the testing can only take place on existing Coronaviruses, but the idea of having a ready made vaccine that has a good chance of being be at least partially effective when a new Coronavirus appears would be a good insurance policy.

So perhaps the crucial aspect, when considering Covidity as a candid for a universal vaccine, is how strong is the immune response against the N protein which is considered to be well conserved across all Coronaviruses.

It has been stated that pharmas who have developed the currently approved Covid19 vaccines are not that interested in the idea of a universal Coronavirus vaccine. However other pharmas outside this group may be. Also we know CEPI are certainly interested.

But, for now, we await that interim data that Lindy has promised.

Of course all that has not been translated into recent SP movement.

IMO the SP will now start moving only when data is reported. The initial burst of news including RNSs had an effect but now the market is awaiting more concrete proof that Covidity is still on course to attract a partner.

Sarah did stress that having a vaccine platform gave them a significant head start in designing the vaccine. It's quite easy to see the significance of this and Lindy's approach is the same. In addition, Immunobody is a platform that has had great trial results against cancer which is harder to overcome in comparison to a virus.

I can't see how we can tell if we are nearing the end of the virus.
The next mutation may be more deadly than Omicron as well as being transmissible. Covide19 may end up being like flu, with new mutations coming each year, some mild and some more worrying.
But whether or not we are near the end, JLP is still a strong buy IMO.

Lindy must have already had conversations with somebody on the subject of an Immunobody deal to come out with that statement.

It's interesting that Lindy mentioned the possibility of a deal for Immunobody rather than just Covidity.
Perhaps CEPI are showing interest in the platform for other infectious diseases should the phase 1 Covidity results be good.

We now now it is safe as expected. So that is the first hurdle overcome. I wonder how much analysis of antibody and T Cells has already been carried out. It is nice to know that Scancell can now do this work in their own Oxford lab whereas before it had to be outsourced.
