Well the median age of people entering the trial was the mid 60s so the median age now would be in the low 70s.
We know that immunobody (also moditope) produce memory T cells to fight further occurrence of the cancer. It would be nice to know how effective these cells are at keeping the cancer at bay. In theory these memory cells survive for up to 10 years.

Nano delivery is so much more flexible with lots of off the shelf products on the market. Scancell should not be tied in any way to the product chosen for the Scib2 trial.
Also, Lindy could have her own product in a few years. Linano delivery, only first class LOL

Could it also be that Scancell were trying previously to tell us that they were no longer interested in the GC?
IP and money division problems may have put Scancell off and this was actually stated in one of the TD reports. A factor may have been that the BionTech collaboration was going very well.

Any possible sharing of IP may well have been the deciding factor. This is something they have steadfastly avoided so far.

To me nano delivery seems definitely the way to go. It has the capability to deliver more reliably to exactly where you want the vaccine to go. At the same time it sounds as though it shields the vaccine from whatever nasties exist in the bloodstream. I would be interested to know just how it achieves the dual presentation to the APC that Lindy's science dictates.

Yes, we know Scancell started the research. What we don't know is if CRUK further developed it. However, the main thing is that the method of delivery of SCib2 is now sorted. Another brick in the wall. Can't be that many left now LOL

Nano particle delivery is a totally different mode of delivery to the Ichor device.
Yes, in effect Scancell are looking for a better delivery mechanism and it very much looks like nano particles fit the bill.
Whether Scancell did the research or CRUK or it was a collaboration is not that clear from the RNS.
But we definitely know that nano delivery is on Lindy's radar from the research being done at Nottingham University school of pharmacy.
As for Moditope, yes no doubt nano delivery could help but again not likely for the Mod1 trial IMO.
One of the advantages of nano delivery is that it is an efficient way of getting a high percentage of the drug to a specific target. In the case of Moditope this would be a specific type of APC.

The first few pages give some idea of the science.
1) nano delivery can prevent degradation of the drug (also mentioned in the RNS)
2) the size of the particle seems to be critical. Too big and it is detected as a foreign particle and got rid of. Too little and it leaks into blood capillaries. Also you want the actual drug to be close to the surface of the nano particle.
3) it should be hydrophilic rather than hydrophobic. Happy to be in the bloodstream.
4) aggregation of the particles should be avoided so coating of the particles can be used to avoid this.
Given time I might get through the whole article but there is obviously a lot to the science.

It looks like it is a new nano delivery system. So my guess Scancell would have to start again with a toxicology report using this mode of delivery. In addition the FDA may go down the same route as they did with Trigrid 2. It could set the trial back 12 months IMO

iPad I would imagine that this delivery system or something similar could be used for SCIB1. However, it is far too late to use it in the current combo trial.

To me the key event now is a Biontech deal.
We know that the Scib1 combo trial is starting and it now looks like there are no obstacles to the Modi1 trial starting.
A Biontech deal would buy time to get that all important data in without any dilution hopefully.
We have the great science and already some great data, let's get a whole load more. This is especially important for modi1 which is a trial that could go on and on urged on by our newly formed CAB. The ideal situation is to be able to deflect further moditope deals until the full potential is actually reflected in data

Perhaps the Americans are considering it as an alternative to the electric chair lol.
It could have accidentally been submitted to the department of justice rather than the FDA.

So the question you should be asking yourself is "why have I invested in Scancell?"
It sounds as though you need to do more research. I was in that position about 18 months ago so I set about learning about the science. I must say that I received a lot of help from certain posters on this BB.
I'm not suggesting that you try going down a similar path. Just a thought.

Big pharma were and probably still are in a phase where they didn't believe that cancer vaccines was the way to go. As we have seen they have invested huge amounts in CIs, in TCR and in Car-T. Now the tide is possibly turning with more interest in vaccines evidenced by the Genentech/Biontech collaboration and also comments by a Nobel prize winner.
Now moditope is probably unique, certainly in the targets it goes after since Scancell has the patents for these but also for the way it uses CD4 killer cells as its weapon of mass destruction. All Lindy did was identify the targets and design a vaccine that would trigger the immune system to attack those targets. It took her over 30 years to get to this stage so I don't know what she has been playing around at all that time Lol
