Congratulations on some excellent posts yesterday.
With the Modi1 trial we just might be seeing the start of a revised version of project blueprint.
A different starting point i.e. Modi1 instead of Modi3 but the same principles employed.
Project blueprint included clinicians and now we see Modi1 has a CAB of 6 professors specialising in the clinic.
Project blueprint was about combination therapy and we already have CH mentioning possible combo trials.
However, Project Blueprint may have had issues around IP, whereas the Modi1 trial and hopefully what follows has no such issues.
We already see that Modi1 targets are combined with amplivant to increase efficacy so we know Lindy is on the lookout for components that help the whole process of defeating cancer.
We see a company like angle, for instance that identifies CTCs that are ripe for attack.
We had a brief discussion about a year ago on a company that has a product that prolongs clonal expansion.
And the, of course, we have established CIs that have become blockbuster drugs. On the back of that success, we also see that other researchers are looking for other cancers targets to block.
Then we see interest in glycans as targets and we know who already has MAbs that attacks cancer via glycans.
Lots of possible combinations but without doubt CIs must currently be in the frame. Lindy will have a far better idea of the best combinations but the whole process needs to evolve.
But, what we all hope, is that over time the boot is on the other foot. Everybody will be clamouring to trial their product in combination with Moditope.
So, lets see how good Modi1 is on its own. Lindy and the CAB (a new group?) will take it from there, I'm sure.
