The market, who is, or what is the market? who controls it? is it manipulated? who understands it? because I don't, it's illogical it has a mind of its own, it listens to rumour and doesn't always respond to fact, I need lessons in the working of the market.

Perhaps not a better option, but for now a cheaper one, and one which can be reviewed if/when the comp is successful.

What you say is true, but at the moment it's opinion only it hasn't happened, I don't see significant selling, other pluses are a pension surplus, how rare is that, debt covered by cash.
If TW chose to diversify into other areas perhaps now would be a good time.
Whatever happens TW is in good shape, and good value by whatever metric you use.

Strikes me that the unpredictable movement of the market has seen significant swings up and down over the last few months, and when TW has dropped with the market it hasn't gone back up on rise.
Strange or what? fundamentals sound, balance sheet sound, no mass sell off by shareholders.
The thing is with builders everybody can easily see what they do and understand how the company works and how it generates its profit, unlike some web/tech companies who trade on high p/e ratios and it's not always easy to see or understand exactly what they do.
I reckon the whole sector is being manipulated by opinions not fact, free market i don't think so, and here we are trading on a p/e of about 8, if there happens to be a correction in the markets i don't think TW will be hit as hard as some due to being hit now for no apparent reason.

When Dgoc listed on aim i thought is this another Magp,Ntog or Eme, and wondered why a company with its assets in the states and run by American's would choose to list in the UK, l still don't know.
The deals they have pulled off to grow the company in such a short time are extraordinary,
To become the largest producer listed on Aim is credit to them, long may it continue.
Did they have had this vision from day one? I didn't.

alwayswrong, If this going down to �1.10 by autumn due to incoming debt why is it going to bounce then? the fundamentals are still the same, nothings changed, are you after a lower price to get in? my only concern is that the debt/profit ratio doesn't become to great.

I can't see a world in the near future were plastic will not be needed, but I can see one in which additives will be added by law to enable the products to be biodegradable, this technology is with us now, Rpc like a takeover so they could do worse than take out SYM and add their biodegradable additives to products that are suitable, A great pr exercise would gain us some good publicity for change.

I don't get the investment case for the cruise ships, profit from the two existing ships was �6.6m, and they will be retired when the new ones are ready, hopefully, they must be worth something, but how much i have no idea. All i do know is �540m for two new ships, how much profit will they make �10m, �20, who knows but I suspect it will be below the �50m approx. repayments required each year. Btw I think Saga is a good company with great prospects and certainty not overpriced since the drop in sp, I am throwing this out there because have i got this totally wrong? I am invested here but mystified why there hasn't been a significant bounce after the sp fall, and looking for reasons why it's still depressed.

Hello 007, debt as you say is reducing, my concern is the debt that is coming our way due to the purchase of the two new cruise ships paid for entirety by new debt of about �600m repaid over twelve years by roughly equal payments of say �50m a year. Granted these repayments won't come in to full force for another two years but they are on the horizon, hopefully profits will increase due to the new ships, but will they cover the repayments? that's my concern.

Hello Mulder, my point is when investors see a loss projected for the next two years wether because of write offs due to acquisitions or other reasons it creates negative sentiment, played on shorters etc, even though funding is not an issue and they have minimal debt these facts seem to be having minimal effect on the sp.

The forecast profit for the next two years is losses of �66m & �37m this must be a drag on the current sp, long term profits may come rolling in, and the business plan may be sound, but until sentiment changes this seems to be the trading range. The question i ask myself is was this over hyped before and reached unsustainable highs without profits hitting the bottom line? As Lindon suggests in his posts all is to play for here, and huge implications for Vec Regarding GSK, not one for the faint hearted, and not one to lose all hope with either, patience and news flow required to turn the tide.

Thanks for all your posts on Vec very informative and in depth, the litigation case with GSK is very interesting if I was in their position i would need to know for sure that I was going to win, if not then an alternative plan B would come into play. The day to day share price movements don't give a lot away, so news will be the main driver, certainty one to keep an eye on over the coming months.

Yes, waiting for a relisting, only this time it will be an interest in gold prospects and not graphite.

No I am only a small scale investor, with small amounts just for fun and interest Stgr could of been better the potential was there, and I think the Aussies will make a success of it.
