Playtech BGT Sports has agreed to extend its deal to supply to Paddy Power’s retail self-service betting terminals in the UK and Ireland.

BGT will introduce new content and features to the betting terminals in a multi-year deal.

David Newton, Managing Director Retail at Paddy Power, said: “I’m very pleased to have extended our agreement. It is a critical time for LBOs and we had a long review of our options before concluding that Playtech BGT Sports was the best one for us.

“Our partnership with them means we can continue to provide our customers with an increasing number of excellent in-shop betting options.”

John Pettit, Chief Commercial Officer at Playtech, said: “We’re delighted to have extended our deal with Paddy Power and look forward to providing their customers with the best product available over the next four years.

“This partnership allows us to continue investing in innovation and demonstrates the faith we both have in the future of retail betting in the UK and Ireland.”

From mid 2015 RPCs sp was 600p and rise started to 1000p on their vision of the companies growth by acquisition in a fragmented market, que lots of plaudits in the press recommendations from Quester and others, everything is place for the sp to soar. Debt is well covered so no problem there.
Then questions about RPC not being as profitable as they suggest, the cash flow not flowing as much ad it should surface, surely RPC can't be doing as well as they say, look at all the acquisitions, the costs involved, so the sp starts to decline, the innuendoes continue and the sp continues to fall.
Why would anybody be interested in buying a company whose financial position is questionable, especially when the people buying are doing it almost entirely by debt, because they know they have backed a winner and all the negative spin about RPC over recent years has paid off handsomely, they are getting RPC on the cheap.

Nice to see it rising again above $6000 after the lows reached in mid December, with some good news hopefully to come regarding the trade war US/China that will support this rally further.

Playtech has confirmed it entered the regulated Swedish market on 1 January 2019.

The supplier is offering its casino and live dealer products via operator Paddy Power Betfair, while Bet365 is carrying both the casino and poker products.

Playtech’s Swedish brand Quickspin also launched 30 titles on the first day of regulation.

Just looked at the FTSE 100 5 year chart and its been trading sideways in the main for all that time, so I suppose anyone buying and holding shares wouldn't being seeing much of a return for their investment, apart from divis.
Your strategy in markets such as this, trading the highs and lows is the only way to achieve significant gains, but it must be said there is a talent required to do it successfully.

The only reason I can come up with for a muted response to a huge discovery is that it is not needed, there's loads of oil about OPEC has cut supply to artificially maintain the price.
Iran has sanctions to stop it selling its oil, Venezuela was bankrupted by the oil price collapse a couple of years back, they have loads of the stuff, now others want a slice of what they have.
The Saudi's have years and years of supply pumping at full tilt, there is no shortage of oil, even though year on year demand is increasing. Russia, Ukraine, Iraq, Nigeria all have oil in abundance, the list is endless.
All this bear in mind after years of low oil prices and limited exploration, the gurus stating the oil price would go back up due to lack of new oil fields and exploration, doesn't look like that's happening any time soon unless by manipulation of production.
The world is awash with oil even the US reversed its oil policy in 2016 to become an oil exporting country and is up there in the top ten exporting nations.
There's definitely money to made in oil, but its not because its scarce.

Very positive update and sounds encouraging for the coming year, at some point I am sure they will have something in mind for that cash pile to expand the company.

Barclays Capital today reaffirms its equal weight investment rating on Playtech Ltd (LON:PTEC) and cut its price target to 470p (from 575p).
So not that far off after the recent rise, they may have revise it again if we get any momentum going, in addition PTEC revamps its content aggregation offering.

Pleased to see this moving up once again, there didn't appear any obvious reason for the fall in the first instance.

Well after news that PTEC will be paying $28m to the Israel tax authority, and that on the back of the tax hike in Italy I am amazed to find this snippet of information, maybe its out date but was published on Jan3 after all the bad news.

The sp is holding up well considering all recent news has not been the best, so hoping they do hit their targets and we can start to look forward to better news as the year progresses.

Not good news however, taxing gambling should not come as a surprise to cash strapped goverments world over, similar to cigs, alcohol and petrol an easy target to hit.
Does this make Ptec a bad investment? time will tell, short term who knows but in the present climate an overreaction is to be expected.
Are Ptec doing what they can to expand the business yes, but they have no control over government intervention, or unregulated markets were they made good profits in the past.

Although I get the impression that PTEC expansion into the States will be a slow burner it is an obvious and important market they must address for future growth, and with that in mind rumours are about who they are after to lead the assault.

Yes it definitely is a good change of fortune, all we have do now is wait till February for the full year results, and hopefully that will draw a line in the sand regarding PTEC being able to trade successfully in spite of additional competition in Asia.
On the plus side 80% of revenue will come from regulated area's as opposed to unregulated area's like Asia.

Hello rugs, the continual fall in share price is a bit of a mystery because I think it's due to what might happen as opposed to what is happening, regulation constraints, advertising bans and a general opposition in the media against betting and the asia downturn gives the impression that PTEC will not be as profitable in the future.
We are trading on p/e 5.4 which you think means there are some serious problems with the business like betting has been banned, or they have issued a profit warning which they haven't, November's trading statement confirmed they are trading inline with stated expectations.
In the meantime another link explains who they are partnering with to prevent fraud which will be reassuring for their clients.
