My time with Xlm is over for the time being until results prove otherwise sold out on the bounce, it's been an interesting ride I initially sold out when sp peaked above the tender offer at a profit then bought back in again with the profits which have taken a bit of a battering.
This is the second company that's tanked after a tender offer that I've been in the other was REC so that was my prompt to sell the first time.
The new guys look like they can turn this round hope so for the lth.

You will find no reason other than unloved, the tide will turn here with results hopefully they will be sound without any caveats like extra taxes for past actions, they have paid a heavy price for the competition in Asia and therefore reduced revenues Snaitech was purchased to combat that decline imo, it's possibly down to market confidence so perhaps now is a good time to invest while sentiment is low.

I remember reading his background when he got the CFO and thought this should be a perfect fit with his background, and considering the mess we got into with the accounts which Daren has sorted out, I don't have any issues with him being promoted to CEO, in fact I am pleased they have have seen fit to promote from within and they know his ability from first hand experience.
Let's wait and see, hopefully we will get some momentum going this year in all areas of the business.

I have been wondering the same as your last paragraph, if Chrome is struggling and pgms are flying which you are supplying the materials just buy them out and use that success in the market to balance out the downturn in other, who knows perhaps Samancor are thinking the same.

Watching the video proves that in the right hands the most difficult of moves with huge pieces of equipment can be overcome and pass more or less trouble free which is remarkable really, the wcp is very much in the same vein, so with the correct planning whatever problems that arise during the move should not be insurmountable.

Interesting information and a reality check when thinking things can only get better,
there's always the possibility of the success story being derailed.
Of the seven recovery plants run by SLP how many are supplied directly by Samancor?

Pleased you mentioned the bonds because I am not sure what PTEC intends to do here regarding paying them off, I would of thought something along the lines of issuing more bonds and some repayment from cash reserves to reduce overall debt,
hopefully they will sell Tradetech as its non core and strengthen the balance sheet.

I can't see significant sp growth here should go up a bit with results, I can't see significant downside from here either, but no fireworks going forward the business is still in transition and fighting media backlash against betting and probably more regulation as a lth here there are better places to park to your stash.

What would suggest, given this year's capex, don't bother moving to a more long term profitable area, mine what we have where it is save the money avoid the risk of a disaster on the move and take increasing dividends as the cash pile grows? on the face of it I wouldn't have been disappointed if that is what they decided until forced by economics to do something else.
They have taken on the move and all that it brings, no jam today but hopefully by the end of year we will have a jam making factory, if not I will joining you.

Anyone have any views on why FCRM need joint brokers?

What you say in true, and Africa is not without it risks, what attracted me here was that they are paying down their debt, this is a large Capex year and and once done I am not expecting anything major other than to update plant and routine maintenance type projects to keep the mine in tip top shape, if however some mad plan emerges for expansion elsewhere or they decide to buy another mine I won't be here.
I do think this year is high risk almost all or nothing, and hopefully Steven McTiernan who bought £100k worth of shares last year will be tempted again along with his mates and instill some confidence going forward.

I would of thought its obvious to all that this year is pivotal to KMR if the moving of kit is successful then KMR are out of the woods and all is rosy for the future, cash generation guaranteed, but if there is some mishap this would be a major setback and put KMR back years in my view, so while there is uncertainty the sp is going to be held back while the market watches and waits for the outcome of this major engineering endeavor regardless of what figures they present in the near future.
I think if all goes well there will be a serious re rating of the sp as investors jump on board risk free to reap the rewards that will be coming KMR way.

I like to see the BoD taking stock as it gives reassurance, but I am in XLM were Ory has bought shed loads made no difference to sp, one that I follow but not invested is WRES the main man there is in at the deep end sp rock bottom, so it cuts both ways.
I would of thought regular share purchases of a modest amount for them would do no harm, after all these guys are earning good money, and unless they completely make a mess of things are always going to come away winners.
What I don't like is shares given away for free to underperforming BoDs.

Can't complain with the future outlook or stated targets which seem achievable or on a good run exceeded, however what I know nothing about is the risks involved in the large scale moving of plant to a new site, this is a something you get one go at, not perfected over years of tweaking here and there, so this is a test of management skills and of the engineering skills of the team involved in designing lifting cradles transport vehicles etc, I assume there must of been a lot of forward planning gone into what is going to unfold over the coming months, hope they video each step of the move and put it out on twitter as well on the company web page.
