JSE went ex divi yesterday, its maiden interim dividend of 0.54 US cents/share.
In line with guidance for the year of between $7.5m - 12.5m to be split approx one third/ two thirds between interim and final will be paid out.

Excluding the impact of debt and earnings relating to the new cruise ship, the Group's leverage ratio was 3.6x as at 31 July 2020 (31 Jan 20: 2.4x), well within the 4.75x covenant applicable to the Group's term loan and revolving credit facility.

No repayments were made on the ship loan during the first half of the year, with the Group agreeing a twelve-month debt holiday with its lenders as part of a package of proposals to support the wider Cruise industry. The Group expects to restart ship loan debt repayments after March 2021.

So do you think they have given a debt holiday for free? and as for these ships paying for themselves aporox £50m was due to be payed back each year for 12 years or so, when with the old ships profit was in single digits even with double capacity I can't see how they will generate profits to pay the debt without cash from the other businesses.

Proactive take on the results today, all looks very satisfactory in the short term, but i have concerns over staff being called up for military service, which is an unknown on its effect to the company, with the conflict seeming to be moving towards escalation rather than ceasefire is saddening for all.

Coal prices had recently rallied to over $60 per tonne from their lows, however this was short lived as they are now back at around $55, with the trend looking downwards.

Over the last five trading days there has been a regular 100k buy, would like to think this will continue over the longer term, sentiment about to change? hope so.

The Baltic Exchange's main sea freight index, tracking rates for ships carrying dry bulk commodities, rose above 2,070 for the first time since late September 2019.
With JSE oil being low sulphur content our oil is blended for use in the shipping industry which is good news, the robust performance of the Baltic Dry Index shows the shipping industry has bounced back well from the earlier lows of year and that our oil will be in demand, with the added bonus of a premium to Brent prices being paid for our oil.

No news on the reinstatement of the divi, but nevertheless happy with how the company is being managed through these uncertain times.

Pleased to see you posting the board has been very quiet of late just when things are getting interesting, it's been a while for this to turn around but I think we headed in right direction for now, however with the world as it is you never know for certain.

I am expecting the accounts to make satisfactory reading when they are finally released based on the figures stated in recent RNS.
However the 5 months referred to since lockdown don't make such good reading
· Total generation (including deemed) of 0.64 billion units (5m FY20: 1.22 billion units)
· PLF was 42 per cent (5m FY20: 80 per cent)
· Average tariff was Rs5.64 (5m FY20: Rs5.66)
Hopefully India will be rebounding from lockdown in the next 7 months to even out the fall in demand for power, also note a rally in coal prices this last week or so, OPG meanwhile will I hope have no room left store any more coal.
