At the end of 2023, our estimate of remaining recoverable copper was then approximately 98,000t.
We believe that estimate may understate the recoverable copper to a modest extent, because it was based on expected leaching recoveries and we are getting marginally better recoveries in practice. Nevertheless, if one divides 98,000t by ten years it is clear Kounrad will not be able to maintain its current annual production rate of 13,000-14,000t until 2034.
