Burble - as I recall, the term 'land grab' in relation to Scancell comes from a comment Richard Goodfellow made using those words in respect of the breadth of cover that the Moditope patent gave scancell. He was very pleasantly surprised justvhow comprehensive the allowed patent was in protecting the use of Moditope. So patent cover for Avidimab and Covidity basically increase their acreage and potential. Hope that clarifies!

I can only presume that your festering hatred of anything other than 'imminent doom' posting made you twist what was said about the appointments in January 2019 - the feeling as I recall was one of approval at the appointment of quality candidates to roles necessary to develop the company. The share price was around 8p at the time, it is now double that. I could go on but that teddy bear of yours is getting some nasty gravel rash from flying out of the pram, and any posts that don't go with your bitter and defamatory agenda usually get a lot of whining about being picked on, so for now I'll leave it at that.

January 2019 these two joined - Samantha Paston, PhD appointed Head of Research; Adrian Parry, PhD appointed Head of Manufacturing. Adrian Parry is the one you were thinking of I presume C7.

I'm pleased to see the long term interest of Keith Flaherty from the scientific side now combined with the involvement of Redmile from a financial aspect. The American interest is most encouraging. It often only needs a couple of determined Yanks to produce something substantial.

Looking back at the Covidity-related RNSs, the one on 24th April said 'it is becoming increasingly clear that the induction of potent and activated T cells may play a critical role in the development of long-term immunity and clearance of virus-infected cells.'
This is now the information very much in discussion in the public domain and looks to be the way forward - but I suspect Scancell followers had heard of T-Cells literally years before most of the public. T cells have been a central part of Scancell's work for a long time.
From that same April 24th RNS came this - 'The Company is actively seeking development partners and additional funding (including non-dilutive funding from governments and global institutions) to support the rapid development of this vaccine.'
In late July came the placing, one of the objectives being 'continue initial COVID-19 vaccine development until non-dilutive funding or third-party partnering transaction' and a month later the company was awarded 2 million pounds to develop the vaccine. A month or so later they announce that 'The initial stages of GMP manufacture are scheduled to start imminently.'
This is a series of (by pharma standards) lightning fast developments, and having had additional funding in the form of non-dilutive funding from governments, I wonder if there is more to come from 'global institutions' as suggested? And let's not forget the mention of 'development partners.' A development partner for Covidity would free Lindy and others to work on the other platforms which haven't been put into cold storage either. It's really rather exciting at the moment.
