The height of the bar4 Feb 2020 13:50
Just thinking - if the bar really had been raised to an unrealistic level for Scancell during the wait for the combo trial to start, they would have had a perfect excuse to scale it down by not reapplying for the IND and just doing the trial in Europe, or even cancel it altogether using the rejected IND as an excuse , but they have done quite the opposite and returned for the successful IND application in (for pharma trials) a short space of time. Also, Keith Flaherty remains the clinical advisor and as much 'hands on' as ever. Does anyone seriously believe a man of his standing and dedication to curing cancer would remain committed to the SCIB1 trial out of charity and obligation to a project that was doomed to fall short? This is a far greater positive than the 'counterbalancing' negative of a punter who sold 200k shares when he has a track record of either spouting false 'close to the source' information on 'dead certs' or being hoodwinked by his 'inside source' - deliberately posting things known not to be the case, or victim of a con - it's one or the other! Today's negatives have been typically spontaneous and implausible, full of 'I read somewhere' myths legends rather than looking at the real facts and making a balanced judgement.
