I must admit I was surprised with the fact that the Parliament of Ghana seemed to be getting their act together during the last week, by approving lots of bills - I guess the only reason for them to do some real work was the fear of missing on their Easter jolly.

Sairfecht, maybe he decided to leave after the 'July will be a transformational month' blunder, whilst trying to save face. I can imagine it is very difficult to come back from that, it was an extremely embarrassing situation. If it was me, I would do exactly what he is doing right - keep a very low profile whenever possible!!

LilPeep, no other country in Africa is processing beyond spodumene. Every african country is taking a plant to convert raw lithium ore into 5.5/6% as a massive win, so why shouldn't Ghana do it as well?

On the topic of value addition, President Mahama said that the government is leveraging the focus of the world towards net-zero emissions to create policies that will ensure that minerals such as lithium are not exported in their raw form but rather refined with value being added to them.

He believes that this action by the government will be a game-changer in the industry as it will ensure that the country enjoys maximum returns from its mineral resources.

“Government is also seizing opportunities presented by the global shift towards net-zero emissions to craft policies related to critical minerals such as lithium. The anticipated development of integrated aluminium and iron industries will significantly increase the value of Ghana’s natural resources,” he said.

AH and NH are happily sitting the background, watching their bank account growing healthily, whilst the accounts of the other shareholders shrink. There have been plenty of cost cutting activities, including going to near zero exploration activities at the moment and firing employees in Ghana (which probably earn of 1/100 of their wage or less), surely it is about time to take a good look at themselves and recognise this criminal behaviour has to stop?

I agree LilPeep. Amanda and Neil are now two duds that promised a lot so they could inflate their wages, and are a now a massive burden on the company books. I understand that both of them have bought more shares than any other directors by a mile, but they are the ones causing the cash hemorrhage .

They will become very handy when the company needs to raise cash (via issuing more shares) to continue paying for their excessive wages.

And mind you, this company has not produced anything yet...

The agreement is that Piedmont has to pay the market price for the spodumene supplied by ALL (and there is no ceiling for this, could be $2000/MT). However, Piedmont have a significant share on the Ewoyaa project itself - so that means they will pay to get the spodumene, but will get their share of returns from the profits of the Ewoyaa project

thetadecay, i don't know if the ndc think like him or not, that was something that never got discussed by any of ndc members, as far as i am aware. he likes to write inspirational ****, and "forgets" to state that rwanda is 6-7 years behind ghana on the lithium path. lets also remember that there are two pending ratification processes at the moment: lithium and bauxite. i don't think its a direct attack on all, its just sheer incompetence
