Schlemiel I think that is a fair conclusion re selling to Europe but that will depend on the number of counterparties at the table assuming more than 1 and who pays the best. Rod I think is unlikely to do a bad deal with a European player just for the sake of it. I suspect the financing will be available from Europe even if the offtake partner comes from elsewhere and the investment and support from the Greenland Govt will help. Either way this is getting exciting. Rod and the team have done well.

Jinkar that all makes sense and the mere politics of dealing with big players means everything will be on their time frames and on their command with a lot of yes Sir no Sir but that is often required if you are a minnow. The good news is JAY has key licenses being surrounded by these players. If there are multiple parties interested in Dundas this could get exciting but you might as well take the whole company out at this price if you wanted to. Also on strategically the Chinese are buying up resources all round the world and have done for a while but at some point there will be a challenge to that as these key resources are in limited supply and intervention will take place by other parties politically motivated or not. Trump already highlighted the importance of Greenland due to its location and resources. Lets see how this plays out.

Jinkar I'm not so sure it is Rio anymore based on the fact the smelting test of the bulk sample was pushed back until 2021 from the start of this year which was already delayed and secondly Rod seemed to distance himself from the Rio comments in the TMS interview when he referenced the costs of kit for the proof of concept plant near Rio site which wouldn't be needed if they just processed in Greenland. Rio seems like a good match but I think there is another player (s) involved as it has gone quiet on the Rio front over the last year. I don't care who it is as long as the deal is good as that is the most important thing. If it isn't Rio I have been trying to understand why they would miss this opportunity but Mining Giants re complicated businesses. Just my view DYOR

Miker/ Manwell - yesterday I asked this 'Does anyone know the timelines we are likely to get further details of the volumetrics of Oil/ Gas in place and or changes to the previous CPR? Does this only require analysis of the cores they took recently at WNB? For WNA we didn't have to wait for the EWT to get these but I wanted someone with more knowledge on this to provide some visibility here if they can. Thanks' Does anyone have a view on this?

Lr4850 - I hope not. I'm not here for a couple of pence personally and wouldn't vote for it as I'm sure many other shareholders wouldn't either. I feel they need to prove up their business model first as there is plenty of work to do.

I think Rio said previously the sample they had from the end of last year wasn't going to be tested until Q1 2021 essentially a year later than anticipated. Unclear if they have tested it since. I thought this was odd as the supply might be sold elsewhere before then in the form of an offtake which would be a missed opportunity. Perhaps this is to play Rio off with any other multilateral. Mike Walters reckons this could be an Asian counterparty. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Nlondon - I spoke with IG last week actually. You can't take take spread bet positions with them in this security and there are no open client positions. Company too small. You don't pay stamp or capital gains on spreadbets either as it is classed as a bet not an investment.

VanVan I don't think that article is saying it is going to take until 2025 to start production at all it is simply a long stop date as part of the granting of an exploitation license to complete those aspects and to avoid a company sitting on an asset with an exploitation license doing nothing . Remember the Greenland Govt will want £ and job creation asap from production revenue so I really don't think this is saying 4 years of admin lies ahead. First shipments of ilmenite although probably not full 400k tonnes is expected to start next year. Happy to be corrected on this

They seem to come in batches all very small. Is that indicating multiple people buying all at the same time bizarrely on one platform and all very small quantities? Seems odd and a waste of time. I suggest they spend that quid on a box of 200 PG tips and go home!
