Its useless oil until the blend it ! So its more expensive.

USA being top is a bit of lie, they need to import oil to use with their shale, it needs to be mixed. When the Saudis pump more and undercut they gain market share, so they sell for less but its more barrels sold. The crash in price then causes a spike later on which they can profit from.

RKH clearly tracking the Oil Price right now. I do hope the Saudis wont pump it to $40 or worse. Probably wouldn't stop Navitas since $40 isn't sustainable for long and they are looking at 20-30years of production. It is valid to short this if you think the Oil price will be subdued.

I recall them being accused of "milking the cow early" when they were trying to get $60 million(not sure if that's the right amount) off RKH in taxes after the farm out. This suggests to me that the truth is somewhere in the middle. FIG overestimated their "cards." perhaps.
