new leading blue-chip institutional shareholders to our share register.
Mr Winnifrith has expressed a view and expects to buy back, I read, at 9p. The heavily oversubscribed placing at 11p ( which could perhaps have been higher ) reflects the contrary view of the 'many leading blue-chip institutional shareholders' who took part. FinnCap put 19p on it.The placing proceeds, as stated in the results of fundraising RNS, will in general be utilised to "capitalise on the opportunity to deliver rapid growth in the near term by converting some of our c. £160m pipeline of revenue opportunities."
Mr. Winnifriths view can be debated, but is out of sync with institutional investors, and Cathal Friel, and of course the views of exuberant pi's. The company will more likely than not be sold in due course, very possibly at a premium approaching 40%. The price has had a good run, but I expect it to go further, perhaps not in a straight line.
