too many said LTH looking at this share as a day trader. Between now and 60p and over £1 and higher if that is your expectation there will be a lot of red days and pullbacks. Stop watching and come back to it in 3 months time and reassess.

if it finishes just above 30p would be a good day. 33p is to much in current volume.

Grid is the only reason to buy now with little sign of an up move and still looking bearish. If GDR is going to hit the highs expected then Buying on the way up is still a good return with lower risk and there will be plenty of pullbacks to catch.

SP can go up or down on low volume; but it takes high volume to make a sustained up but on the way down SP can literally drop on thin air.

It is at the 20MA; it is a buy zone but only if buyers step in and show momentum. Otherwise you are looking at 21p next if it break 27p.

in case you struggle to understand the info...there are three key factors:
Supply and demand; fundamentals and technical factors which describe trader and investor behavior.
The first and third are all about flow of shares between buyers and sellers...LTH do not participate on these; they just hold. Yes they can help hold the SP by not becoming sellers but as long as there is interest in the share there will be plenty buyers and sellers to move the SP up or down. Fundamentals can change the SP but these do not change on a daily basis. The fundamentals in GDR form last Monday to today remain unchanged so not a factor moving the SP since last Monday. Although fundamentals have not changed and some would assume the SP should therefore remain the same, Sentiment can change the longer the fundamentals remain static and this can influence traders and investors behaviors (the third point) negatively and positively; in this case would seem negatively. All along LTH are just passengers waiting for something good to happen. So to answer the original question; why is the S.P. lower than last Monday is simple. There has been more selling than buying demand at the high prices, technical factors which traders use will drive profit taking, the fundamental have not changed since Monday but sentiment is reducing due initial high expectations.

LTH don't move the SP. The SP moves with trades...it is the volume and trading; supply and demand that move it. LTH are just passengers.

some context on SP expectations and pullback...even during the COVID rallies the first had pull 3 pullbacks before it reached £1. These were hard pullbacks to swallow of 65%, 35% and 30%..many would have been shaken out by these the SP then rallied to over £2 and pulled back 20%.

It is worth noting that every time the pullback was less meaning buyers step in sooner until a final pullback of 50% from its high £3 and start the downturn. All the pullbacks but the last were to the 8EMA; the last one breached and went lower after.

MHO; So far we had two pullbacks; 38% and 24% , so bullish; the SP has pullback to the 8EAM so bullish. Next few trading days are key to determine if the bullrun will continue or fails. A bullish day on Monday would give in my rules and entry signal with clear stop below Fridays low. If monday breaches Friday low then i would expect the pullback to continue another 10%; still not disaster but likely shake out more people and could trigger a further drop if buyers don't step back in. I can see support at 25p so possible entry point if buyer step in. GL; DYOR

no share ever goes up in a straight line. You need to accept to take the drawdowns and set a clear level to get out that fits with your risk tolerance and reward opportunity. There will always be a chance to get back in if things turn back in your favor.

@faceface i have no crystal ball and therefore i just look at what the price has done. What happens next it is simply about probabilities and currently as long as remains in the mid 30s there is no need to panic but any signs of the 20s and you would be taking very poor odds. What people don’t realised is that significant SP moves are triggered by events/news but how the SP changes there after is largely human behaviour based and that is common to any share in any market (ftse or aim). Also profitable investors and traders use well proven strategies that apply strict entry/exit rules and risk management; and currently not many would hold once a significant support level is broken and the next level is so far down. But also those same rules account for current position and whilst we hold the 8EMA it is no need to exit just yet; above 35p with decent volume then bullish.

agree below 32p you have a good short with 25 and 21p targets; then would look for a bounce. if it holds above 35p then could see another upside but without news to help it i think it is low odds right now.

The SP did ok this week...on the volume traded it did ok to hit 40p , the pullback is as expected and to the 8EMA as it has done every time for the last 2 years. it is still ok above 32p. Below 32p and It could be expect it to drop to 25p and could hit 21p in a few days. For me It is not a buy in the short term unless it holds 35p next week.

@baserite what you own about? I'm in here because I have been in GDR since 2020 in and out and I keep it in my watchlist; it is a share to make money on when news hit. I am not LTH...I just look at momentum and take advantage of it. Currently GDR looks to have momentum so there is an opportunity on the long side. This share is going to swing up and down a few times before it hits the levels people speculate about. But right now odds are long not short.

Why On a Sunday? Proper prep for any trading day is done the day before! or weekend for the week ahead. Specially if looking at volatile shares in AIM.

one fund at 0.7%...as I said clearly not a short the pros know it. There will always be small percentage but hardly any exposure and could be hedging a long position.
Take a look at CINE , or Hammerson for proper shorts.
So GDR not a perfect example.

GDR is not really a short right now...and professionals do not hold this type of stock over the weekend when momentum is up. If it drops below 23p it may be considered a short but there is not enough risk/reward to bother with that. GRD is only short above 60p for a swing trade; and possibly buy back in the 40s.

I'll repost my assessment based on basic technicals and well know levels.

Some realism....price action still holding the 8EMA but struggling to break the 200MA (32p). ITV news should help breakout but realistically 45-50p and then 60p are potential targets before a pullback for profit taking. Very few people would be crazy to not take profits at near 100%. These are also well know Fibonacci levels for targets. That is not to say it wont then bounce back but I would expect a strong pullback if it breaks 50p. Those looking at Dec 8 need to look at it from percentages...the SP moved from 40s to the 80s at the time before pullback. I would expect similar. If it is going to hit £1 I would see taking 3 waves so be prepare to stomach the pullbacks in between. GL

Don't make laugh "think about the NHS". Day traders, swing traders or LTH; all put money in the market to make a profit. It is just a different time frame and strategy. The market is not a charity. It will quickly take your money as quickly as it gave you it and not feel sorry for you; it doesn't care about fundamentals of the company.

If it holds the current level (8EMA) some further signs of good news could do the trick. But current level is too close to the 200MA and too far above the next significant levels 20 and 50MA. SP can happily range between this level and 200MA but any sign of uncertainty and it is too big a drop for little gain unless some cracking positive noise. If Above the 200MA then there still plenty potential to go at and lower risk entry. That is purely my risk management rules but keep GDR in my watchlist…have been a holder during the Covid momentum.
