Whoop - finally - 500,000 at 3.19!

Hiya

I decided I wanted this just for more information - never been a trader where it really helps - but just curious and so I took the plunge and bought it on LSE as it then keeps me in one place. It is £32.99 per month but I just paid the year up front and then it is £30 per month equivalent.

It also removes all Ads on here as well so loads quicker and isnt as annoying. You get other features as well but I havent looked at them I just am able to view the Level 2 terminal now and like it out of curiosity (and learning). Suspect it will be mesmerising when an RNS drops to watch the direction the MMs move and how quickly.

Great trading volumes at start of week consolidating at the 3p level. I hope you held your nerve (or sold if you want to!). 3 MMs sat on 3.2 which seems to have become a psychological barrier to break as when it hits above it seems to get sold in to but that wont last forever. For once it isnt PEEL holding it back :-)

PEEL off 3.15 and moved to 3.2 now and a tight spread now with WINS on 3.10

Looks like most people liked the little pull back today with a lot of buying in to the end. Nice buy logged late of £30k when the spread was 2.9 to 3.1 (buy at 3.09).

If I am reading it right - 40m shares changed hands today above 3p - long may it continue.

Oh and I have stopped getting mesmerised by the SP during the day on Google. I took the plunge and go L2 out of curiosity - now I am mesmerised by that :-) - I am never going to get any work done!

Most people just stop posting - has the same effect - I don't think there is a delete account function. If you are invested in shares though I have found LSE useful to talk about them so I would hang around.

James - I dont disagree with you on this point. Something went really wrong when it grew in the crypto bubble of Covid etc.. in the last run. I would not focus on it being bought by a penny stock however - share price doesnt matter - the market cap does.

For a 62m MCAP company to buy it out from reserves is telling me that the owners may have had enough cash out and it was more a burden than a company they loved and there was probably some relief in letting it go. The pressure of running large organisations in itself is massive as you feel a responsibility for the people / customers / shareholders.

Back in 2020 / 2021 a lot of crypto start ups were created by clever people, especially on the exchange front etc.. but not necessarily business people which is probably why it went south in a fall out.

Whatever the reason does not matter as long as the underlying technology is sound and the assets are secure so we can move on from 'how the heck did they get that' as they did. The customer base is added and now GST need to leverage it and I am sure with the smart moves so far (Semnet as an example) they did their DD.

I have posted most of this before but with a lot of new people joining the chat board (not all productive!) I thought it worth putting up my synopsis as to why I am invested and have been holding since 1.1p (and still am). Just trying to get a semblance of discussion / knowledge out there so we can discuss the company and people can have a head start before doing their own research.

For transparency I am now sat on 4.05m shares at an average of 1.48p (all in an ISA thank god!)

For me these are the salient points:

GST have multiple strings to their bow in terms of building a borderless payments company from FX (AngraFX), Crypto Exchange (GS20) and Cyber Security (Semnet)

GST own 67% of Semnet to be listed on NASDAQ with GST ownership worth £28.5m at listing valuation but Semnet since involved with some large US players so this may be conservative and could go up on listing expected in January. There is no indication as to how many shares GST will release on listing but I am sure it will not be all of them. Semnet purchase was paid for treasury shares – no dilution.

GS20 trading volumes have gone through the roof in the last six months. These will not be reported on until July 2025. I expect revenue to eclipse the first half RNS which referred to the period to June 2024 when volumes were light.

Two ex-directors have been selling down with the last director now below 5% so no longer notifying. The sell down has happened whilst the SP has been rising so shows the strength of buying.

Bought CAKE (RNS 2nd Jan) adding 100s of thousands of users to integrate to the GS20 exchange. CAKE historically had huge volumes – not a proxy for future but a testament to the platform capability. CAKE was bought for cash – GST is revenue and profit generating.

GST IS NOT INVOLVED IN MINING like ARB was which ran from 10p to over £3 – that was an arms race buying more and more machinery. GST is a service provider and has the technology infrastructure built by a development team and so just continues to drive volume on GS20 to earn revenue during an active Crypto bull run. No continued capital outlay.

Debt reduced to 70k in first six months of year when exchange was not as active. I do not expect debt to be an issue any more and believe we are now debt free but have not had RNS confirmation.

Potential acquisition of Easysend remains on the cards but not critical to the strategy imo.

At a macro level we are in a a crypto bull run pro crypto president from 20th Jan.

A market cap below £200m is undervalued IMO – not on hype – revenue generating and healthy service lines in high value sectors (Crypto / FX / Cyber) and the Fintech space is the future bull sector I think.

Whether you view this as investable or not is up to you to decide but please do it based on your own research and not the noise on the board which I hope will calm down and be about the company.

It visit the way it goes when you get sharp risers and a busy board. It just attracts people who want to post constantly. ARB was identical.

Best to scroll and ignore. Only been here from 1.1p btw but not jealous of the sub 1p crew - well done - you spotted a diamond early imo but I am pretty happy with my average against the potential here.

Good to see all the shares change hands above yesterday’s close in any event. Needs to consolidate a little before another wave.

Roll on Semnet RNS or another surprise one!

Interesting year ahead (or months even!)

Hi all - New Year so looking around at a number of new potential investments and this one has caught my eye. I can see an incredibly high claim that looks like it is progressing and hopefully reaching conclusion now (getting them to pay may be a different matter) but with a $600m+ claim then there is a potential award that is many multiples of the current MCAP.

I have read the RNS and look where I can but what are the plans with any proceeds as asset wise this would be heavily undervalued even if they only got 20% of the award.

The recent placement seems to be there to fund the litigation but what are post litigation plans? Are they going to dividend out some of the return or move on to new projects.

If this is out there, apologies, but thought someone might be able to point me in the right direction.

Longfell. Didn’t get caught out. It was a pleasant surprise for me as I had traded out a portion looking for a retrace and got all my money back in around 2.92 and gained 50,000 shares. I don’t often trade as I am not good at it and resigned myself to a top slice of the SP didn’t drop. When it did it was just too good to miss so as a result I still have not top sliced my 4m shares. With an average below 1.4 now I do have to admit I got twitchy Thursday and Friday but just had to remind my self why I invested here in the first place and did some chores instead!

Argo was a miner in an arms race and was the only LSE listed one so had a backing. But they needed to keep spending to standstill.

GST is making money from trading with their exchange. O need to spend money there, it’s just a website that is already there in reality.

The strategy is reach and customer numbers. That’s why CAKE is a good acquisition.

I think the July results covering to December 2024 will be a wow moment for those that do not realise that this is ‘just a crypto play like ARB’.

This is the real deal with borderless neobanking that prints money whilst ever people trade and the volumes in the second half have been huge.

Iangibbons I hope you are keeping well. I remember you from the ARB days which were a wild ride but on the hype of BTC and Peter Wall who concentrated on PR and made a few missteps but to be fair an energy crisis didn’t help.

I agree this feels like ARB but more solid and a lot of those COVID investors have remained, me being one, people just have to realise the potential here.

GST feels altogether different with an understated but incredibly capable BoD getting invoked in the right parts of DeFi.

For all the new posters, welcome, there are some very knowledgeable posters on here such as AimHigherStill and Massive and a lot of people have them to thank for at a minimum peaking interest.

There is a lot of news flow in the next six months with Semnet being the next expected RNS putting £28m in the coffers (yes you read that right -

£28m) but there may be another RNS before then - I don’t think anyone saw CAKE coming so enjoy the story unfold.

Each to their own investment strategy. I hold a majority long term and ‘try’ and trade to accumulate with a portion. Managed to trade and get another 50,000 with the MM shenanigans so very pleased with that.

No agenda here, I am invested and comfortable with my position. I would ask you to read the interim results where debt reduced from over 700k to under 100k. This interim was up to 30 June. So when the exchange was quiet. Money is being made at this point to reduce debt.

So, CAKE is being bought by cash so enough confidence in income to buy for cash and not shares. In addition the GS20 volumes in last 6months has gone through the roof with a .2% fee. That would put income above 1million in six months. GST also own 66% of Semnet which is being listed on NASDAQ with their 66% worth just over £28m.

Semnet news should be Jan to Feb but you won’t get reported results from July to December 2024 until July 2025 so you have to decide if you invest now based on what you can see or wait for solid results in July. GS20 is a money printing machine that does not need expensive mining machines (or electric) or oil drills or mining equipment. People just need to use the exchange to trade their crypto and they are on the millions.

That’s investing in these types of companies.

Easy to say more risky now as no results printed that you yet can point to as empirical evidence. But the difference now and July may be buying below 3p and above 10p.

For me the evidence says July results will be a real eye opener and momentum will gather and based on my risk profile this is lower risk than most with most upside hit you have to make your own call.
