Probably just squaring positions. Doesn't the drop in SP say it all? I admire your continuing optimism about PLND, but the bid has revealed the BoD is desperate to get out at a low price. Elliott has misjudged this, in my view, because of the problems the Company faces without a strong capital base. Hope you are right for the remaining shareholders though. GLA.

Today's share price suggests Elliott won't get enough support to stop/increase the Steinhoff bid. Game over in my view and better opportunities for one's money elsewhere. R

banter apart I would have been more than happy to buy all the drinks yesterday as The Ks have contributed so much good information to this board and also some probing questions yesterday. So we all owe ours thanks really. R

Steve I did top slice at 1.6 though so just bringing my holding back to where it was. Prospectus we were told is a technical document and won't reaveal anything about the new investors.

hi Rusty sorry to have missed you. Karina x2 and I had a long chat over a couple of drinks. I'm sure you have been more fully briefed but this BB isn't the place to do so. All I will say further to my previous post is the two buys this morning are mine. R

The meeting lasted 55 minutes of which about 45 minutes were questions and answers. Four shareholders were present including Karina x 2. MP answered our questions with full responses and all the resolutions were explained prior to each vote. All were passed. Clearly there is a determination to build a a company of considerable scale. R

Karina I very much appreciate your clarity on this. I got confused by some earlier posts as I glanced at the Notice of the EGM weeks ago and had seen the resolutions, which I understand. I haven't read the proposed new Mem and Arts though. So the Prospectus should be available prior to Wednesday, but UK/EEA potential investors are excluded. My first thought was us PIs are going to be heavily diluted, but in fact we hold the same shares as all the current shareholders, so if that were to happen I think everyone would be against the reconstruction. Complicated stuff but having kept faith all this time and very very happy with progress so far I'm 100% in. For those going to the AGM, I am the guy with a sunburnt face lol. R

I'm a little confused about the Circular for this week's EGM. There is a 17 page document on CRV's website which includes resolutions which are to be voted on. If the link isn't working the document is posted under Investor Relations/Reports and Documents/ Letters and Circulars Notice of EGM June 2016. As far as I know it has been on the site for a few weeks. What additional documents are we expecting to be sent out before the meeting? From reading the FT Article it is claimed that Canada Life mistakenly sold a large part of its shareholding having pledged support to Steinhoff unless a bid 20% higher was received. Having made the mistake they said they would be buyers this morning to correct their mistake. This may suggest the brief peak in SP this morning. It looks as though the market doesn't believe Elliott has a chance as one would think the SP would be rising significantly. I'm still happy having sold even if there is a new bid because I doubt it would be supported, but Steinhoff may run for cover leaving PLND in a desperate situation.... All my opinion DYOR and GLA R

I'm no expert but reading some of the recent (many) RNS, announcements, these trades are related to CFDs and having to square them off. Many are long positions being closed and some shorts also. I guess some are having to pay over the odds to buy the shares they didn't own. Whilst I repeat I'm no expert I don't think a second buyer is in the frame. The board by accepting Steinhoff's low bid has accepted that PLND has problems which need to be addressed by a much better capitalised company. All just my opinion DYOR and GLA. R

I think you have made the right decision although HSBC has issued a hold recommendation. Unless one knows what is going on, it probably was best to crystallise your profit. 61% is impressive as well. I'm a Virgo and a perfectionist. I used to really kick myself for selling too early, not at the top, and vice versa when buying. However eventually I realised it is impossible to do so. As Nathan Rothschild said: How did I make my fortune?By always selling too soon. Sell, regret - and grow rich. R

Agreed unusual that the SP is at the offer price. I sold at 220 expecting it to stay around there. But that decision cost me £20 and I made it up easily elsewhere. Steinhoff should be buying every share they can, but there might be other buyers intend on stopping the bid, especially if it leads to a large loss for them. Not convinced but it could be a possibility? R

Hope it goes on their website as well as I hold my shares through a Nominee Account. Less than a week to go... R

@ CrystalBallBloke IMHO you should consider the opportunity cost of having your money tied up in a share which almost certainly isn't going to go up much. I am presuming Steinhoff are buying up as many shares as they can get at less than 222p to ensure they get the 75% acceptances they need. Also if this deal falls through the SP will tank below 140p. Anyway good luck with whatever you decide. R

@ CrystalBallBroke (good name!) sales are showing at 220.75p currently. My maths says hanging on might give you another £11.12 assuming the deal goes through. I don't know if another bidder could enter the scene if the PLND BoD has accepted the offer, but I sold out at just over 220p and moved on..... Accepting such a low bid suggests the managment isn't confident, or just wants to cash in. R
