I`m looking at a 5 -10 year plan and a future income divi so (even at say 3p) that is a nice 6k

The key for me is the divi. This is now only a divi play as there is no longer a viable reason to hold this stock. I am now underwater on SLP unbelievable as that was a few years back. And it is not looking too rosy in the foreseeable. So it follows the only real reason to still hold is the divi. If that goes, then I see this dropping further back as people exit in droves if they have not already done so. For me I will not sell. I do not need to. This will come back but it is a bottom drawer stock for me now. One to simply forget about for now.

a "long stop date" is a date drafted into a commercial contract whose only purpose is to trigger an exit arrangement.

i get pledges made against third party actions outside of their control. what is not outside of their control however is proper comms.

If it falls to 35 Jaco and co will set up a company and there will be a MBO or take over as whatever he pays - 10 - he will get 20 back immediately and make a killing with no risk. Legally.

SLP for many years has been a victim of its own success with ridiculous quarterly net prof margins consistently over 50%.

So it hits some reality and ONLY delivers single digit profit numbers.

YoY down 70% but July 3 2022 SP at 73, 74p. If the SP was 74 last year with Rh 70% higher then I would have thought fast forward a year and it down 70% the SP would have tanked so surprised it is holding up so strong see what happens when buy backs stop...for me straightforward divi play given their cash pile not difficult becomes so if they do not pay out in Dec.

yeah, i have. they delayed 3 times. this has cost me an arm and a leg and still no pay off with over 30k in this. so i was ****ed off with the lack of comms as a three month us t-bill would have yielded over 4% return and this has got zero to date.

Donmac - think it is 20% not 16% ? could be wrong, to give 24% in toto which fits PMcD "over 4 and half thousand" BOPD estimate.

In any event, it is all good with this CP in the bag, It was the toughest duty to get done, so very optimistic now.

The massive chunk of money seems to be $65.5 m on those numbers assuming break even is $35 per day.

But also assumes 100% efficiency in the 456 days with zero downtime. I`m not in the O&G sector so that might be realistic but would not have thought so - maintenance, etc.

Back of the envelope:

On INA and SON, sales rev of $113m p.a. at $75 BOPD assuming 90% efficiency.

IIRC their break-even was $35.= $53m

The local Regulator has "crossed the finish line". The Regular is a quasi - govt body. The minister who signs the approval takes his or her instruction from the Regulator.

This is now a formality; the heavy lifting has been done.

Last chance to load up at these prices IMHO but as others have said this could drift on low momentum and passing smart-phone user dealer speculator interest only. The big boys might be found sleeping on this until they wake up to what those of us have known for ages now.

Yes, it is about an 18.5% reduction on a 21% reduced basket. I`m being very conservative I grant you that! I like to be but do accept that the basket looks to be recovering somewhat and mid-range - say off by 5-6m from last year is very do-able and hopefully nearer the mark :)
