Scancell founder says the company is ready to commercialise novel medicines to counteract cancer. Watch the video here.
Really interesting doc.
Primerdesign:
>99% sensitivity & specificity at Lighthouse Labs
Nailed it :-)
End point RT-PCR:
86%>93% sensitivity & 98.6%>100%
Assuming this is mobile unit testing and lower figures are due to lower loads in community.
LAMP:
One good (97% sens, 99% spec)
One bad (67% sens, 97% specificity)
My understanding is the Optigene/Nova test has a separate RNA extraction process and is the better of two. Geneme's FRANKD test uses direct extraction. Direct extraction for LAMP test ain't getting the job done.
LamPORE:
I write off, 15 tests a day per devise. 90 mins a test. I can only see a use case in very remote settings, small schools e.g.
LFT:
Current test 50%>70% do not meet minimum requirements. Side note, no LFT has eve been approved for the flu. Para 9 says high sensitivity needed for sporting, cultural events, can also assume airport testing. Some of the uses cases some hoped for LFT. Also don't see LFT being used in education settings where student loads will be low and undetectable.
A test with a 30% false positive would cause carnage when we have a prevelance around 0.2%. X150 false positives over true positives.
Sensitivity short comings can be mitigated by follow up test. Does mean a 10 min test will take approx x 3 days for a PCR confirmation.
Cambridge uni are also looking to use antibody tests to cross validate postive antigen tests

Some people hey!! Clueless in life and investing
Isn't the short position just 1% or am i missing something?
It would be a risk to manufacture stock prior to final product sign-off
"In this study, the authors estimate that 85 infected children (93%) would have been missed using a testing strategy focused on testing of symptomatic patients alone," they wrote.
PCR or equivalent required for education settings

Choppy day, let's see what tomorrow and fruition of Hemo's portfolio brings. Two and half years of waiting, I can wait a little longer
Hemogenyx's broker SP Angel said the deadline is today. I've underlined in tweet. We should find out soon, belive 2:30 is 9:30 US time
Being able to distinguish between COVID and flu will also reduce false positives, effectively improving COVID-19 assay sensitivity by proxi
From my experience most deals get done on deadline day
. Vlad Identified 20 USA drugs in trail, have tested several. 11 mins
https://youtu.be/WK9FrOukj-w
. 101 trails failed 2018, CDX could enhance
https://t.co/TU2hiB2YsT
. Est $292b stranded asset in 2018 alone!
I was alluding to financial value of CDX when market was open as got bit nervy sharing given the confusion over the 3 month extension that i may have mislead people a little in my summary note. Relieved to see i took it from brokers note.
Drum roll for CDX royalty potential :-)
CDX conditioning antibody effective at lowering dose of other treatments by 5 to 15 times
. Identified 20 ???? drugs in trail (Vlad 11 mins) https://youtu.be/WK9FrOukj-w
. I have Idendified 101 autoimmunity failed trails in 2018 that CDX could enhance
https://t.co/TU2hiB2YsT
. Eat. $292b stranded asset in 2018 alone!!! ?????????
. 12% Eli Lilly royalty and a 5% Hemo royalty for through sales could be worth billions a year.
. We know Eli Lilly want to go on a buying spree, they now have CDX to unlock valueless drugs and mice to test them on.
Autoimmune/inflammation conditions:
. severe aplastic anaemia (bone marrow failure)
. leukaemia – a type of cancer affecting white blood cells
. lymphoma – another type of cancer affecting white blood cells
. myeloma – cancer affecting cells called plasma cells
. certain blood, immune system and metabolic disorders – including MS, sickle cell anaemia, thalassaemia, severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) and Hurler syndrome
Nice one Acuere :-) thought i had seen the wording, looks like Tuesdays it is
JHFH Hemo filed CDX patent in 2016 and started working with Eli Lilly April or May 2018. In the case of no deal Hemo would be agreeing terms for the Lilly development add ons. Agree with the sentiment that this looks extremely unlikely given recent name reveal and Lupus and mouse drug discovery deal.
None taken JHFH. Agree CAR-T potential is massive, getting feeling CDX royalty revenues will arrive sooner, with mininal input required from Hemo and could be very significant.
What future sub partners of Eli Lilly wouldn't be
interested in CDX, enabler drug that can increase tolerable doses by 5 to 15 times. Imagine how many autoimmune trails fail testing each year and becoming stranded assets in the medicals trail bin. Eli Lilly sub licencing CDX to areas they are not active in or going on spending spree of zombie drugs, with the antidote up their sleeve
With their mice having drug discovery properties and CDX drug enabling properties Hemo have a pick and shovel business model as well as several of their own mines in development.
Vlad and the small team have down incredibly to build such a broad business with limited resources to date.
Have read comments about Lilly possibly having 3 months from 1st sep. Was my understanding was Lilly had until 1st to agree terms and if not Hemo had 3 months to agree terms for Lillys contributions to CDX and Hemo free to seek new partner. I wasn't on the Zoom call, does this sound familiar?
JHFH do believe you are under appreciating the added value of CDX blood conditioning, I'm of mind conditioning for other conditions can be a far greater opportunity than CDX AML & ALL treatment. Vlad speaks to this at 11 mins, there are 20 drugs in trail in the US that can benefit from CDX toxicity lowering, dose increasing functions.
I'll add more flavour to the CDX conditioning opportunity next week.

Worth Following ELi Lilly, they seem very active since they reinitiated medical trails.
#FridayFact: There are 4 phases of clinical trials, and altogether, the process can take as long as 8 years. Want to learn more about what #clinicaltrials are like? Watch @CISCRP's Finding Treatments Together video for a helpful overview: https://t.co/oHS2hYpiXO

With it not detecting asymptomatic would seem to have little benefit in a school or uni testing where most cases will be symptomless.
I don't know if asymptomatic's shed, if they don't these tests would seem suitable for sports events.
