Tesco slightly up at the moment and your See you Jimmys losing a bit of ground last time I checked. Mornings and evenings getting chillier here but some beautiful afternoons for the time of year and nice and sunny now. And I'm coming to England on my holidays soon. Vlad the Impaler et al - there was nobody on this bb in January complaining when spd turned over a £4 million plus profit in a matter of days from buying and selling debs shares for a quick profit and then taking out an options thing as a way to get spd concessions and goods in deb's stores. I've been trading and investing in deb's since 2009 and you've got to smile. spd has just had a free mention on bbc radio 2 Simon Mayo show through the discussion of Newcastle United and Mike Ashley has bought the naming rights for Ibrox stadium for £1 and is using his stake in House of Fraser to promote spd goods as well no doubt and tesco next. I think that's what Guinness would call pure genius. So I'm with Tilly on this one about people trying to short spd. As for going on about distastefulness and moral bankruptcy lol Earl do you really think lse bbs are a place where there's an audience for that sort of thing.

Beautiful day in Glasgow and Edinburgh yesterday and I was out without a jacket till late. Bit duller so far this morning and might fit in a bit of retail therapy though it's not top of the list. Well done with your spd for holding all the way up. Did try to engage with you before about your praise for spd's back to school range. Can't find the discussion about the tesco ceiling heights as this bb only goes back 100 pages and your own posting history only goes back to this summer. Remember saying to a few temporary posters on the debenhamas bb at Christmas 2012 that it had had a good run and shares couldn't keep going up so I was selling. Price of course there has not gone down in a straight line but has been in decline for a while but is a new cycle about to begin. A few posters on here have said more or less the same thing about spd. No divi here, of course, as the company prefer to use the cash from profits for other purposes. Not sure I would get the kind of return you have here as room for growth might be slowing down but I don't mind dipping in and out now and again. Earl I'm sure you will be delighted that we seem to have a busy bb once again - save you and I engaging in the small talk lol.

Not going to get any insight from the bbs or the newspapers - there's a surprise - on this and probably that's true about most issues affecting companies lol. The put options at deb have been in place since January but the price hasn't been right yet. Less known about the tesco one for the moment anyway. deb's sum involved is much larger than at tesco and if all exercised would give spd a notifiable stake of nearly 7% in that company but the tesco amount would just be for .28% there. It's officially the weekend for me so might catch you next week.

Please do me a favour and stop mentioning me on this and other bbs as I seem to infuriate your buddy rbrand. His behaviour doesn't shock me as I'm all too familiar with that sort of thing on these bbs. Only thing I would say to you is that the share price has slumped over three days and I doubt whether anybody wants to hear about rbrand's hatred for me or about his girlfriends.

There was a bear raid on this share on 22nd March 2013 from which it has never recovered to any great extent. I had been holding the share for only a short time when that event transpired. Like the poster Big Profit I had no stop loss in place and came home to find the share price decimated in the space of an afternoon. Neither yourself nor spottedlurcher were posting on this bb when that event took place. The price recovered partially with the disposal announced in July 2013 and I sold. I've traded the share maybe a couple of times since then but there have in truth been few opportunities to do anything with this share as a long only trader.

I'm back from Paris and Belgium. If I'm being absolutely honest with you I prefer London, Edinburgh and Glasgow with the Burrell and Kelvingrove. I think I heard that you can walk 14 miles in the Louvre and would spend 4 months in there if you were to spend a minute at each exhibit so I didn't do too badly in a few hours but skipped the 3rd floor and it was less than 20 euros for 2 baguettes, 2 small bottles of chardonnay and 2 packet of crisps on the balcony. I thought the La Gioconda thing was such a disappointment and felt like Mr. Bean on his holiday in France who penned the nose on Whistler's mother. Gruesome guy pointed out the Ritz under refurbishment and the 13th pillar or whatever where Di and Dodi had the accident. No time to see the Sacred Heart or the Moulin Rouge so may return but not in a hurry. What happened to pdl since russell's little rant. Still I sold up before I went away so no damage done and it will be back with results like those. He'd better stay out of my way for a while as he keeps blaming folk on other bbs for his choice or shares or is that his shorter's ploy as some of us are starting to think to give him some reason for posting some negative stuff on the bbs. Who certainly read the direction of the share price here better than most. Spotted I think you need to look at the graph of the share price here? Anybody who tries to continue to talk up the share price here cannot really pass any negative comment about Opium on the tesco bb can they as the performance of this share price is way below even its flotation price. Even your Uncle Matlot and a new institutional investor have done nothing to perk up the price here. As for the deletion of one of my posts earlier, I cannot really understand like gerry on the tesco bb what there was to object to. The lady in question would not have sat the "qualy" examination if she was as young as she claimed to be as the comprehensive system was in place. Being a lady of intelligence myself, I was quick to spot that. That's my final comment on cup. Nice idea but a formula now being followed by too many competitors and some of them offering a free service which is why I think this company needs to diversify if it is to survive.

I'm between holidays at the moment. Take a lot of short breaks and hols and always have a smile on my face when the only lorries I notice on the motorway say sports direct and the only carrier bags I SEE being toted seem to say the same up and down the country. By God there were a lot of Englishmen on these bbs thought Alex Salmond was God's gift and really hoping for a yes vote. Why would that have been the case I wonder. Share price absolutely caved in yesterday and today and it's already been decimated over the past year and a half which explains in part my phobia about aims shares. Got some nice channel no 5 duty free - though not the same bargains around as there used to be and I didn't get any reward points like you would in the shops at home. Gonna try wearing it in bed with nothing but a smile like Marilyn. Did the right thing to sell my diamonds. Results seemed pretty solid to me but I wasn't going to be here on release day and the market seems to punish even good results at the moment. Got some pj choc in Belgium.
