Don't know how much we can read into that but might have had an effect the last few days. Do you really think sid's wife and daughter works for tht and morrisons as he owns a yacht and is obviously part of the the idle rich society like you bonz.
Well done on your self-restraint. My son has eaten all his haul from Belgium and daughter had to melt her lolly down in the micro wave as she is getting used to her braces. Apart from some red poppies and a box of mixed (no selection guide I could find in the box) I still have my haul from P & J. Nice pineapple centre I think and would have liked the marzipan but with no guide somebody ended up with that who wasn't too keen. Can't complain about the number of freebies we got to try out though. Still have some of the pressie ones to deliver along with the limited edition tht fudge.
Funny you should mention Halloween. Met a woman in M & S buying their halloween range for the neighbours' kids saying she wanted to give quality stuff rather that the pound shop stuff my mice left well alone on the Christmas tree making for the Cadbury and tht instead. Wonder if this bag charge thing in Scotland will affect tht. Certainly limited the amount I buy in M & S foodhall since they started charging for bags. Had Marks's gasrtopub mousakka and one cottage pie (both on offer) and Mediterranean roast veg from tesco tonight.
What will you do when the grandkids arrive Bonz? This is spam valley and no kids venture up here at Halloween but ours venture down to the former council houses where generosity abounds and they come back laden with coins, fruit, nuts and sweets. Whereas up here you might encounter Mike Myers, the folk who have their heating up at 90% to grow the pot for selling on but certainly curtains drawn, blinds down, lights off and doors bolted by 6 pm on the last day of this month lest they have to donate anything. Been left with all my supplies and no visitors last couple of years. People fear for their kids's safety these days. Not just a USA thing though surely. Turnips not pumpkins here and the sky is blue, the grass is green have you anything for Halloween since I was a child and a chorus of Wee Willie Winky.
Oh but Marks had their Christmas stuff competing with Halloween stuff. Guy on these bbs said all his daughters wanted for Christmas was my little pony and a panda lol not sure if he meant the one in Edinburgh zoo.
School hols start tomorrow. Itinerary not fixed as hoping to see some of our English relatives. Plenty of Arsenal shirts up here in spd and only a few other English clubs stuff in store. Off to theatre. ATB
