After your disastrous recent experience with debs Dav can I ask you for the third time if you are doing anything with debs at the moment as Gerry and I have stated our positions.

Right how I am reading you both on debs is that neither of you is taking any action at the moment. Neither am I but I am involved with other shares. I'll let you both know if there is any change.

It's not important at all but it is just fair to tell the truth. Gerry might be on holiday but I am sure he will respond if he is around. I just feel this Can has seduced you and you only have eyes for him but never wise to idolise anybody as they will only let you down. I used to look up to somebody on the bbs until I realised just how fallible they were so I am not always right but comfortable in my own skin.

No you are wrong. Gerry didn't laugh at anything Can said and I only said he was wrong at the point in time I was trading and I was correct in that. And at the moment this share price is 45p so about the midway no pun intended point. Doesn't matter anyway what this Can is doing. You must do things for yourself or nothing at the moment if you like - like me.

Aye well I traded against Can when he was here and won and that's all that concerns me. How you're going to make up your losses is your concern. Hi Dav but it went up when the poster was here and I like loads of others just live in the here and now with certain shares. If you've lost 20 grand then you only have yourself to blame because I sold, Picket sold, New Kid sold and Midway sold and you didn't listen to any of us. What you should do now though in my view is say if that's you out and once bitten twice shy as Gerry would say or if you are going short and are targeting 40p and over what timeframe and that will give yourself some credibility. And I'll let you know if I decide to do anything here but it wont be top priority for me over the summer. I don't even know when this next update is? I'm doing the catch up on Broken so if you can be a wee darlin' dav any chance you can post that date up for me. I wouldn't focus too much on the long term because somebody might argue with you that debs has been up and down considerably over the years. Only important thing for anybody is that they do the right thing at the right time. I'm nervous about listening to you if you have lost £20,000 to be honest. If you hadn't been so jittery or in need you might have sat tight like Gerry and been okay here in a wee while but your money and your decision.

You have my sincerest apologies. I see now that you couldn't declare when you bought Debenhams shares because you are brand new to lse and only joined today. 40p you go for it tiger. I might even peep in now and again during my hols to track your progress.

Hi Dav Sim I checked when I last traded Debenhams as it was around the time Canonlybetheone was posting here and I was selling in April at 53p plus at a profit when s/he was looking for 40p which didn't materialise at the time in question so sorry you didn't catch the type of price I got. Since then there has been an update which has pulled the price down and before then there have been trading updates which have taken the price up. It remains to be seen whether 40p will be hit and Goldmans seems to have a fifty pence plus target. I haven't seen anything on the bb for a while which could be construed as prompting folk to buy, sell or add other than one poster La Vache Folle posting an Investor Chronicle's buy tip which I scoffed at. It is very much up to yourself what you do and when and when you decide to declare it on the bb. Presumably you accept like me that company news and other information reflect what happens to a share price and that such information can change especially over a period o over of 8 weeks plus which is the period since that poster was here. I have been fortunate enough with debs to guess the pattern correctly other than one year when Christmas trading was poor and I hadn't seen it coming. Been more in the zone since then here. This bb is like many on lse. You have people who lack the courage to declare when they are buying or shorting but then folk tell you in retrospect that they have sold. That's not really helpful to anybody imo but good luck with utilising your funds either on another share or something unrelated. I was very open with my trades when Can was here but I have done nothing with debs since then and others besides myself sold up earlier than your goodself. I appreciate you are probably a good honest sort for you could have come on here and said you had shorted Debenhams for a long time and some folk might have believed you. I am just like Midway and couldn't care less how much this share price falls because I have sold other than some free shares and would want to buy as low as I can. Cheers Gerry, I'm a woman and I don't really care about street cred but shares are like clothes to me. I don't mind being told by somebody that they don't like the dress I've bought but when they then go on to tell me that my bum looks big in it and they chain themselves to the rails it came from, well that's going a stage too far. And we've always had a keen sense of humour on this bb as you know but it is a cesspit on these small caps and Aims bbs. Evening Gerry I'll need to stop posting on the deb bb I think as it is bad for my street cred and there is a guy is calling me a loser probably because this is my spiritual home lol and I can only imagine s/he hasn't realised that I have managed to avoid buying at the wrong times here.LOL as if I care what anybody thinks. In fact, only trades I am down on all year are spd as I bought higher than big Mike but not too far out of touch there at the moment. I saw you and rbrand on Tesco bb and can only imagine you sold Tesco but kept mrw for the divi a good while ago? I have a lot of time for Matt the Brave and like him I had a couple of looks at Tesco on Friday. I guess what is holding me back is that I know I can walk into aldi and lidl and buy healthy sea bass and bream and I would only get breaded or battered cod and haddock in the rest. Plus all cleaning stuff and toiletries are coming to me from home bargains and occasionally boots. Non-food I feel is more complicated than just price and quality there tends to come at a price with clothes and make up especially. On Tesco, it doesn't help to see the perfect logic others have had about Amazon as regards other companies go out the window simply because they are up to their necks in Tesco shares but that's human nature I suppose. Big toe bruised so new walking boots from spd needed (not a ramp) and going on line to get some deb's stuff tonight. I have eleven miles walks lined up to the falls of Glomach and the fossil tree on Mull so will be glad to get some fresh air. Remember you are free to ditch your debs shares any time you choose but you have no guarantee that when you do that the price will not shoot up. Same with any share really and a lot down to luck as much as research. On the contrary Gerry, Carrington is the opposite to a scaredy cat and more like the brave Glasgow cat Sam the Skull. Nothing wrong with having a go in real time at making a few dollars and being honest enough to admit if it went against you. More posters on this bb and generally on the bbs would command more respect if they did likewise. To tell you the truth, I'm a bit fed up with people appearing on this and other bbs talking shares down without being brave enough to declare any position but if everybody's doin' it, I'm maybe going to become a bit less forthcoming myself. Have you ever suffered from Mal de Débarquement Syndrome Gerry after a sail - leaves you all weak n wobbly. I've got a load of divi income coming at the start of July I see and off on my travels again - not to Denis at Disneyworld though lol. Did somebody on this bb say on second glance after selling that the spd options were betting on a lower price rather than a higher price here. You were right Sandyboy deb's on the up already!. And the other good news is that it is Anchor Cheddar that is going not Lockerbie.
