Tesco seem to have failed at a lot of things though in recent years have they not including accounting scandals and opening up too many big branches in towns already well served by other supermarkets. People say you need to eat but you can only eat so much. Wouldn't knock him for having a go at a revolutionary new strategy. Makes a pleasant change to have a Brit taking it over to USA rather than another American company gobbling up our Cadbury's and the like. I bought back into spd because of that. The "new" strategy didn't sound very new to me at all. I am sure I have heard all that waffle before possibly from the predecessor who had been there man and boy. Not really having a positive impact on the share price at the moment so I must be mad as have just bought some of these again. Jeremey Corbyn reckons that Mike Ashley is part of the Establishment and should fear a Labour government. Mind you Yvette Cooper could give him a life peerage for having a workers' rep on the Board or maybe that would be Boris such is the mad world of politics. When you consider that the year high share price for deb is 81p or something like that then an expectation of 75p in four years seems pretty pessimistic to me. Anything could happen that would catapult this share higher or sink it lower in a matter of days or weeks let alone years so my strategy with it will be to live in the present. Come to think of it, that's probably all we can do with any share really. If we are all still here in four years then I'll take a note to congratulate anybody who bought in at these levels and held. Good luck also to anybody who bought yesterday expecting the bounce today. I am not so sure that it will so for the minute will be hanging fire.

I am not sure if it is just my computer but the heading of your post looks unintelligible in message view but reads as £1 in thread view. I appreciate your candour and openness on your trading plans here which bbs such as this lack all too often. I bought four tranches of kaz recently and am to the good with three of those and had an opportunity which I didn't take on the fourth one. Copper pretty volatile but a chink of blue at the moment. This bb has had some extremely negative viewpoints expressed on it in the past with some even doubting the company's very ability to remain in existence and I am glad to see there is nothing of that nature around at the moment but it would just be nice if some of the detractors could put in a brief appearance to admit they read things wrongly. Clearly you don't fall into that camp though. I don't really pay too much attention to what President Trump says but had a look at the climate change stuff for other reasons and quite a fascinating topic. The bottom line is that the interim results were poor as many expected - even after the company having a decent Christmas trading period. The company's performance has oscillated from good to bad to good to mediocre in recent times Sales are vanity and profit is sanity. The share price rose yesterday maybe because some were expecting better than was delivered? Didn't have time to read the link posted about the newish chief executive but, at any rate, he will need to do better and demonstrate that he can learn fast about bricks and mortar retailing though nobody doubts his background in on-line retailing. Probably better though if they could be taken over by somebody with high street savvy. I take it you have bought in here today and, if so, good luck with it. I had a go with AO recently and was lucky but I will not be returning there any time soon after looking in more detail at it.. Hard time for the retailers at the moment and not been lured into burberry either.

I wouldn't go glamping even near the finest golf courses in the world. Wouldn't share a shower with anybody or walk across grass to the loo at night in case there were any cameras around. The Baillie Nicol Jarvie in Scott's "Rob Roy" describes the Carbeth Inn as an alehouse and a most miserable hovel. My kind of place and didn't stop Greeneking selling it for a decent price - which is quite good news if you are a shareholder. Disclosure as at today's date, I still have a financial interest in debs but the internet connection being patchy here is as good an excuse for not looking in here. I agree but I don't think you are going to get any sensible debate at all. Just some snob looking down its nose at folk who use Holiday Inns That's not where I am lol but wouldn't bother me the slightest if I was. Have a good weekend. Needed the spending money for a holiday, the purchase of some Wonalot and a Jack Russell. If there is a breakout to come then seems pretty slow and I wouldn't be at all surprised if the derampers are out in force in the lead up to divi qualification. Still learned that there is a lot more to this than Hungry Horse - not that Hungry Horse is an issue for anybody other than snobs. Staff get a bigger discount than shareholders and some shares at an even lower rate than I did. Good luck to anybody still holiding. I'll come back if I can but I'm okay if I am frozen out.

People can make big money on the Aims market and they can lose big as well. If you do lose then it helps not to be bitter and to chalk it down to experience. It's possible some folk will give you a sympathetic ear on a bb like this but in general folk are only focused on their own investments and trades and couldn't care less and would rather you approached the Samaritans with a hard luck story. Sorry but I am just being brutally frank. I can't be bothered staying up till the wee small hours playing about with indices. I'd rather have my large or small Debenhams or agent provocateur knickers played with. I think most women feel the same as me but there are a lot of fake women on the bbs I guess or maybe just the one with various names.
