Just bought a few boxes of limited edition classics 520 grammes to cover Mother's Day and birthdays. Apparently there is a £5 off next purchase coupon inside the boxes. The boxes were supposedly half price at £6.99 and I have a £3 off a £10 spend voucher (not a shareholder one) which can be used as many times as I like up to 12th March. Bought some choc chunk cookies and toffee and milk cookies too. Pity the branch in Silverburn doesn't have space for the tinned hot choc in different flavours.

They definitely don't all taste the same. The Premium Collection are not to my taste though and I much prefer the Classic selection. Marzipan my fav. Interesting to see some posters linking the recent heavy director buying with a possible buyout. I am off out now to the shops and a rare chance for me to visit a branch following the closures of my two most local ones. ATB

The main divi was a token amount - a quarter or a penny - ex divi date was 2011-10-26 and paid on 2011-11-25. The interim ex divi date was 2011-03-23 and the payment date was on 2011-04-28 - a princely 1.95 pence. The recent RNS makes it quite clear that the interim divi this year has been waived.

here. The recent RNS said "Interim dividend waived but firm commitment to return to progressive dividend in the future." At the current time, scrapping the divi is the best thing the company can do.

Apparently the sale of Easter eggs and the proximity of Mother's day with the sale of boxed gifts more than makes up for a drop in sales of small bars during Lent according to some small chocolate makers interviewed on Simon Mayo show on Radio 2 last night.

Not bad Bonz. Bit of a purple patch since the start of this year with hmv, tht x 2 , tcg x 3 , pfd, deb, some SXX, bmr x2, rbs several all coming good. pmo on the rise now after the eo takeover only need another 12% or so lift there and need to decide what to do re. Lloyds. I need something like an 80% rise which doesn't look imminent based on today's results. Not sure if I want another massive averaging down exercise on my hands after my experiences here and at hmv. Will give it some thought. It does have some volatility but not massive swings. There are a lot of people holding these at £1.00 plus might be glad to get shot of them as the divi has gone for the time being and the shareholder discount vouchers cannot be used on-line which is no good if your two most local branches have closed. Even in store, the vouchers can't be used now to buy goods already on special offer so often cheaper not to use the vouchers!!!. Posters seem to have been coming and going on here of late and we haven't heard from the 40p is a coming brigade for a wee while now. I bought in here myself at £1.23 ish but suspect your buy in price was a lot lower than that judging by the time you started posting on this bb. I guess our personal views are all coloured by our own experiences but I think a lot of long termers here are so fed up that they would snap the hands off anybody coming along and offering £1.00 a share. Coming back to the subject of milk, Dougrie Drive is in Castlemilk. I bought my first flat as a single girl in Shawlands and took my mum with me. Did you mean jings was detained in the cells in Craigie Street lol. I worked in the Templetons Supermarket in Nitshill Road in my last year at school and first year at uni on Friday nights and Saturdays but got a nicer job in non-food retail in Goldbergs when the Pollok Centre opened. When I read that reference to Nitshill, I thought you meant disputes when you spoke about rows but then I realised you meant the boating pond. I meant my 2nd husband in Rouken Glen Park when he came to the assistance of a young widow in distress when my son's motorised boat got stuck in the algie in the boating pond there. Had full time jobs in Rouken Glen Road (Eastwood Park if that sheds any light) and East Kilbride to name but a few towns. Very very small world indeed. Hope this gets to 20p and beyond for you. I was raised and schooled where the euphemistically named Silverburn Shopping Centre stands. Worked in West Nile Street myself for a time for a firm of solicitors called Keyden Strang and Co. No 26 I think. Funnily enough, the main client was the Co-op and they dealt with all the conveyancing relating to the buying, selling and leasing of properties for the Co. Crikey small world eh and jings was a Govanhill boy.

I lived in East Kilbride for 13 (unlucky as it turned out) years for myself and my kids and perhaps should have bought some shares in Wiseman's. They have certainly had some big swings up and one or two? down in recent years. Sean Connery I think delivered milk. I am truly the milkman's child. My dad delivered for the co-op for years after the war and all three of my big brothers had early morning milkrounds. My mum was often just going to bed as my dad was getting up - didn't stop them having me as a late fifth baby though. My dad got promoted to Creamery Manager and dropped dead in the street leaving his work at the Co-op creamery in the south side of Glasgow when I was 6. In some neighbourhoods, milk was getting stolen from the doorsteps and the birds used to peck the silver and golden tops of the bottles. No simple things these days with full fat, fully skimmed and about 4 other varieties in between. I get mine delivered by a small independent here in Ayrshire - very creamy for the kids. Biggest issue for me is to gauge consumption but if I have loads left over, I make custard or loads of Thorntons white, original, toffee, chilli flavoured, mint and raspberry hot choc (I am sure there are other varieties come on Bonz use your clout to get Tesco to put this on the shelves). Another problem is if you decide to go away on the spur of the moment at the weekend in the summer and come back to find your milk on the doorstep. A bit like the brother who left thorntons Easter eggs in a bag attached to my fence for my kids in direct sunlight - though despite that sweltering spring we had they were okay. Did anybody else notice we had a sweltering Spring last year other than thorntons lol. Get on to Tht and/ or your broker and get these discount vouchers for your wife - they should still issue them to you even although they get issued in October. I wonder who supplies milk to tht? Oh Wiseman's have ruthlessly crushed the small independents over the years but that I suppose is the name of the game. I wonder if the poor survey company surveyor got his/her jotters (P45 in Standard English) after I complained. I had only topped up once before but because I didn't have too many to start with it wasn't a gigantic task but certainly in here in March 2010 at £1.23 or something was a lot higher than 82.40 entry in April that year at hmv. I barged onto the rbs board late one night and asked james if he was still holding tht and hmv and got a bit of a boost when he said he was. NKOTB was there at the time so I don't know if that's what prompted him to buy into tht - but his wife likes thorntons so maybe more that. Back in profit with hmv after nearly 21 months. Car being ordered next week. Just popped in to say goodbye Bonz - these boards are not for me. Encountered some of the nastiest individuals out on these boards - and some of the nicest too. Truth is though that the boards can be dangerous. I think I was advised to sell out at hmv nearly 100 times but glad I stood firm. I also became increasingly aware of a little knowledge in the hands of some people being a dangerous thing and people spouting forth" with conviction" about things on the boards which were clearly wrong. I certainly fared a lot better with my share dealing before I started reading the bbs. Anyhow the rest of my life starts tonight. Apart from anything else, it is time consuming posting on these boards but some people just want to spoil for a fight and wind folk up and that's not me.
