Good afternoon Showmethemoney, I have read to many idea's about fiat money, sounds like you have been or about to be seduced by the bitcoin argument. You don't mention anything about the money supply cycle, also gold is not at all based on stock prices. It's a commodity like any other, and usually a safe haven at times of political or economic turmoil. Gold prices will start to ease back, once the world becomes a more predictable place. So never going to reach 5,000 dollars an ounce in my lifetime.

Good luck Barry some real bargains in the FTSE 100 at the moment, Don't be put off BT, as pension provision getting better, and big dividends once they pay out. DLG and Aviva, Ok suspended dividends, but once they start to pay out, extremely good, Also Lloyds bank, their may be some downside to come, as exposed heavily to the UK mortgage market. But I believe this is a sound bank. All boring, but they make money, and that's what you need to pay dividends.

Good afternoon BarryLad, let me put this in prospective it took nearly 8 years to get Alpala to this stage. So not months, years.
However you get drill results, and good drill results have given a temporary lift to the share price. Drilling out the other tenements is important, but for now the focus is on Alpala, as that's what the share price is based on. When I started to invest it was FTSE 100 companies only, and I reinvested the dividends. This is an unusual share if your first investment. Good luck.

I give in, why do people compare Solgold to other companies. If you want to compare Solgold to another company, why not a successful company, that grew from a start up to become a world leader in their own right.
