You can bet Solgold didn't want to issue todays RNS, but they had to, because it contains information that is relevant and material to the share price, and so had to be released. That's how RNS's work.

Tiger100 we already have that at Blanca next to Alpala.
The RNS says that we are expanding Alpala, so if that includes Blanca then we have the open pit high grade Gold at the surface.
You just need to read the RNS's
So one PFS and we are on our way again.

The point is Solgold have been consistent in taking this to production.
We are just going to do this cheaper and faster, so why are people selling.
I am guessing because they were expecting a bid.

I was thinking that earlier.
I was of the belief that the block cave operation was based on licensing and permit permissions.
However that is not the case with today's announcement. ( at least I hope so )
We need some figures now, how much is the new cost to get us producing a start up open pit operation, and what's the time period.

Hi ToS1963, your correct it doesn't say it, but infers it.
What it says is the open pit is going to be Alpala and surrounding area, as part of Blanca was in part of ENSA, then this may involve part of Blanca's high grade gold grades at surface. ( just my thinking ) but I think more to come.
Anyway we are doing more drilling and we get the PFS later than all of us wanted.

Yes the story has changed, but not the direction and destination hasn't.
Yes the share price has gone down, because uncertain conditions spook markets.
I doubt any of the main parties have sold today.

I think if everyone takes a step back, the anger being displayed here, is by many who now think a bid is not coming.
I have also been surprised by todays RNS, but let's remember the Solgold message hasn't changed we are taking this to production.
This has never been about what I think, it's about the direction that Solgold is taking.
For those that have sold today and recently I wish you well in your future investments.
For those of you that have held ( me included ) we are continuing with the story.

Sure Tiger100 the ridicule part was sarcasm.
The near surface gold is at Blanca, we found this two years ago, and indeed Solgold suggested an open pit to get money quickly to cut down the borrowing for Alpala.
Half of Blanca was in ENSA and so stopped it, we think because CGP may have benefited.
So with the extension of the Alpala site, to go open pit, there is a chance that Blanca is within that area.
We already have surface gold at good grade at Blanca. So maybe they will drill there while PFS is prepared.

Tiger100 I am not a mining engineer either, but will ridicule you for not reading the RNS.
It says the open pit is going to be Alpala and land around it.
I remember Blanca being next door, let's hope the near surface gold at good grades is the bootstrap are included in this open pit.

Thank you for the link sire_frugelman, I can break it down roughly.
I believe that we have 46 million for drilling and 69 million to get us to BFS.
I calculate this from the burn rate on drilling, and what I think we have left, which should get us to end of 3rd quarter on drilling.
Please if anyone has some better and later information on this, could they correct my figures, as they are only a rough estimate.

JG1964 just read the RNS, we are changing the PFS to get an early open pit operation, cheaper and sooner, no JV's or selling.
There is a part in there that says if viable, but that is just a legal requirement in my opinion.
I have always said that production was the most likely outcome.
This morning it just became more likely, but not in the way I thought.

Morning Colonel, as I said earlier today, we need to understand the cash position now, how much do we have and what is set aside. The PFS money from Franco Nevada, and what is allocated to drilling, that would be helpful.
I do think we should have a webinar now, with a Q&A session, and an extended Q&A at that, maybe a couple of hours, as I am sure that the answers we get to our questions, will lead to more questions.

We are not redesigning the complete mine, we are changing it.
We are still going to be a block cave operation.
However the open pit aspect is to get us to production cheaper and faster.

I think the delay in announcing this, has been because they had to check the current permits and licenses that they currently hold are still valid, we may have to reapply for some, let's just hope we don't have to reapply for the water permits.

sunnybne well said, no matter what is said these people will always say it's evidence that we are getting a bid.
If it was announced that a meteorite was going to hit the Earth. These people would say, great a big is coming, because it's going to hit Alpala, and that will give us an open pit mine in seconds.
Make your own investment decisions based on research of what people say, and your personnel experience.

We still won't, you misunderstand how situations like this play out, which is why I take what you say with a pinch of salt.

We have a diverse book, I know lots of people on here don't understand what that means ( including you )
This doesn't defend us from a high bid, but it does protect us from low ball bids.
This is because no one will bid, and risk getting a counter bid, as the person who bids first loses control of the situation.
Also if anyone puts in a low bid, they get told to bugger off, and that them gives them the chance to go hostile.
No one has done that.

Novice you are correct, it is clearly showing who has the experience and a balanced portfolio, as they accept all news to make adjustments to their portfolio ( if required )
And those that sadly are depending on Solgold to make them rich overnight.
Don't get me wrong, I feel sorry for people in that situation, but that's why I never give investment advice, as I have said so many times that everything is opinion on these pages.
