The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
It failed it’s as simple as that. An HSE report will need to filled. When it comes to safety, software is not acceptable there needs to mechanical/ physical interlocks.
Looks like 3 robots collided. There will need to be a review of safety interlocks. This should not happen and must be made fail safe. It could be sometime before a return to normal operations and other Ocado automated sites reviewed.
Remember some due-diligence can be so critical that the buyer can simply wish to walk away from the deal or re negotiate the purchase price
The old Adige, Go away in May and come back on St Ledgers Day is appropriate as the case will have commenced by then. I will look at this more seriously in the Autumn but not until then.
Of the same ilk is Spirax Sarco thought about buying at £9 and still thinking at £140. I sold out of AHT at £9.80 thinking I done well. ROR and SCT are one day companies, aggressive and well run been in these a few years now and will stay.
The issue here is the more they expand and valuation increases the greater the fall if things don’t go well. These are high stakes. I have experience of this with Kodak when they copied Polaroid instant camera technology. It was the beginning of the end.
As previously mentioned, the customer has little interest of the outcome of the cases in the US and UK. The supply chains will not change. If Ocado are unsuccessful then Autostore will be more than happy to take the helm. Ocado itself will be probably end up as Retail only. We will know more at the end of the year.
The BOD were irresponsible to announce the lasted deal or even to pursue it whilst the lawsuit is pending. The news attracted a lot of attention initially and now reality has sunk in. Ocado will not have direction until the cases are over.
I would expect the current trend to continue albeit at a slowing gradient until Court case resolved. There will be flutuations as with last weeks Quad Witching.
The outcome of the case is pure speculation. US interests will continue as outlined as they are the customer regardless of the award. Autostore could well become a stake holder if the case goes in there favour. They certainly would want to maintain the status quo. I can’t see them wanting cash if it disclosed it is indeed there property that is involved in the build. It will all unfold by the end of the year, certainly interesting times.
ITC proceedings start in August. We will have more certainty end of the year after considering appeals.
Can not see the Case has been filed. There Is no number, no date or signature. Looks like a draft for Eastern district of Virginia.
Steady as she goes and been adding regularly. Divi on the way next month as well.
Mergers, take overs and deals is complete fantasy at the moment. The company is in consolation at the moment clearly recognised by the majority of shareholders, thus the gradual fall of the SP. It has been noted that there have been large purchases by stakeholders recently but please remember they would have hedged with derivatives through third parties. For a company to loose < 33% of its value in >6 months indicates caution.
Smiler. The current pricing reflects consolidation due to the uncertainty for 2021. I think medium to long term Ocado has a great future but this is going to be a very difficult year.
I bought a lovely card for 99 pence yesterday. An increase to £1.25 would still be great value and as people generally pay by card I think the 1£ psychological barrier is well behind us. A 25% increase is the way to generate extra cash. Card need to address their pricing, especially when I paid over £8 for the stamps. My thoughts are a little extra would benefit the company and shareholders massively.
EQi paid 14 May
Now the case is pending in the UK, Autostore would be able to request an Injunction. This is very different to to past cases where Ocado falls out of jurisdiction. Ocado will not want to make matters worse on home soil.
Oct 2020, UK and US tribunals and Courts
Tesla will go know where near Ocado until the property dispute is settled. No take overs, deals or contracts until this is settled.
It’s simply common sense.
