Possibly JT but they may be decent offers - who knows? Fact is Onion isn't going to opt for an offer until the whole process is finalised and all possible offers are on the table. With so many potential bidders in the race still there is good reason to expect an acceptable offer at least.

Simms, I know that Onion Head was always moaning that good drill results didn't shift the sp, mainly due to the negative gold sector sentiment at the time, but that doesn't mean drilling was pointless in the longer term. If the plan was always to sell then it would have made perfect sense to invest in more drilling, particularly on Cacao, so that we had a bigger JORC to present to prospective buyers. Instead we have a load of pie in the sky stuff about 14 million oz. Unfortunately anything not to JORC has precious little value. We have added hardly any new ounces in ten years. Onion inherited 1.1 million oz from the Soviets so he has added a paltry 1.3 million oz in the last 13 years. After a promising start as Chairman, his muddled thinking and timidity has created a shockingly bad return for long term investors and most of that is down to him.

Yep, Onion's performance has been dire. If the strategy was to sell why didn't he prove up more ounces over the last ten years to increase the value? He has been far too cautious.

Johnny, it need not be 'death'. They should have raised the funds to become a producer IMO in the first place rather than trying to sell for peanuts. Perhaps if no bids are forthcoming they will have to go down that route anyway. If this is so good (14 million oz according to Onion Head with low aisc) why the hell would you sell it for tuppence ha'penny? He bleats on about not being miners - how about hiring someone who is? Agreed, Onion Head should do as he promised and provide a progress report asap. It is hard to believe how his actions have destroyed the sp over the last few months. This was over 30p in Q2 last year ffs.

Betts always makes things sound reasonable! What is glossed over his his failure to anticipate and head off problems at Yan which has been an unmitigated disaster. We now are being teed up to expect a smaller mine there as it switches mainly to underground mining. Apparently most of the pits other than KE are duds?! Was the exploration work done on these other areas dud too? You couldn't make it up
