If there were twelve companies he would have said 3 offers + 9 NDAs. The fact he only mentions 9 NDAs in the summary provides the clue

I think it is nine companies under NDA and that includes the three that have made some sort of offer. It ain't twelve.

Someone continues to wear the blinkers. He has led all of us up the garden path. If he scrambles a sale price that gets some peeps their money back after 13 years this will still be a massive wasted opportunity for all concerned.

JT it certainly does. Can't say that I am happy with how things have panned out for the long-termers but I think today's news provides an opportunity to make a bit of money if you have some spare cash to invest. I put in another £8k this morning in the hope that Onion can be taken at his word regarding his confidence that he deal will be struck. Its all a gamble but this looks a good one now IMO

The suggestion from Onion was a sale at between $100m and $200m, so £83m to £166m. With 181m shares in issue that comes to anywhere between 45p to 90p sale price. Most of that should be returned to shareholders via special dividend.

Fair enough Connect1. Obviously you have to have some spare cash in order to average down. For those that do today's RNS suggests it is the right move. I hope you manage to get out ok. If Onion's prediction of £100m to £200m comes off you should be fine. GL

18p paid. I will be surprised if we don't end the day above 20p. Peeps should be piling in here on the back of today's news. The fact they haven't as yet shows just how far Onion's credibility has fallen. Despite that this looks a no brainer from here

Interesting to see that CNR have nine potential buyers under NDA and several offers under consideration. I wouldn't mind a few offers coming in for HUM - probably a better chance of making money here rather than relying on Betts to take this forward successfully.

No, but Onion seems to be keeping a tight grip on news here. I am surprised the sp dropped on Friday given today's news and I was not expecting to see the RNS this morning. Hopefully the details of bids haven't leaked out yet?
