Crude, my handle arose from a particular exigency (16 years ago this month as you might guess from the digits) but while it was originally designed to throw away, I have grown quite fond of it. I consider it as two fingers to all those who think a couple of anonymous ramblings on the internet make you part of a "community". It conveys no more or less of myself than would iLuvKittens (actually, I don't) or TheRealDaniilTrifonov (I'm not). I've no intention of being personal or engaging, I've already filtered some of the posters who fancy themselves as such. I intend to keep track of genuine information about the company some of us are invested in. Of course, I appreciate that you have made yourself known by your real name and have a personal acquaintance with some of the posters. Good for you, nothing wrong with that. Call me a deramper, but with no news likely until "THE" news, and that probably not till autumn, I'd expect the share price to drift a bit. I hereby declare my unscrupulous intention to buy a million of these suckers as soon as they go below 10p. And I also declare my unscrupulous intention to bite anyone's hand off for the 50p I will then need to break even.

Nothing fishy about Mamms at all. Am in the same boat myself. Fortunately only (!) about a million shares. Got in at EUR 1.47. Averaged all the way down to 21c. Actually wouldn't be too bad if a) I trusted PVR as far as I could kick 'em, b) I hadn't got into SOU while I was twiddling my thumbs, where I am WAY more underwater.

So either APEC don't trust ToR as far as they could kick him (good news for PIs as someone is finally keeping him on the straight and narrow), or they are as dodgy as hell themselves. My gut tells me it's more likely the latter. The RNS wouldn't make sense if the payments were contingent on progress. PVR have no earthly reason to rock the boat unless they are feeling the cold hand of a legal requirement to not mislead investors. At the very least this is hardly indicative of a good working relationship between the partners. I desperately want it to be otherwise, but agree with Mamms' assessment that we may be cattle trucked.

Oh, and Edwina -- you are either clueless about PVR's long history in flushing investors' money down the crapper, or you're an idiot troll. Filter button indeed.

But partridge, you yourself told us no less than 18 times this year that the Bollinger bands showed the share price was coiled like a spring, waiting to soar aloft.

The amount of wishful thinking on here is frightening. People asked to estimate the LE price posted their "targets", as if that had anything to do with anything. People still maintaining that the go-slow on TE-10 was to progress LE negotiations. Even when they updated us about the coiled tubing and it was obvious the go-slow was exactly what it said on the tin -- a monumental logistics c0ck-up -- some people still read good news into it. Some people are still estimating an LE price greater than previous success case estimates (why did we bother drilling then?). The paltry BoD buys are now being read by some as feeding frenzies by management trying to nip in during a brief open period. Are you people for real?

I am no way a deramper -- I am up to my oxters in this share. I'm even considering a further substantial averaging down. But no way would I do it at the current SP. If we hit 5p, maybe. I'd be cautiously (not confidently) looking for a 3-bagger from there.

My blood runs cold at the mention of special dividends payments. As I said before in connection with that option, I could lose my shirt on this turkey and STILL have to pay 50% tax on whatever pittance is recovered.

Over a pound sounds insanely optimistic. I'd bite yer hand off for half that to limit my losses (which would still be substantial).

To think, people were writing poetry about this turkey just a couple of hours ago...

Just to note ... this week is eight calendar month since the start of TE-10 groundworks (cf. Tweet of 24-Sep). EIGHT MONTHS! And we don't know if we have a commercial find yet. I've seen food blenders that could drill faster than that. I'd be happy if I believed things were being slowed down for commercial reasons, but there's really no evidence of that.

It will certainly be a boring AGM if it consists of a couple of mundane motions, and nothing about whether we're worth billions or the square root of diddly squat.

The trolls are certainly out in force of late. I still have to watch the * BLAH BLAH BLAH * scrolling up the screen, even with them filtered. I am increasingly cautiously optimistic with the lack of bad news. Though to those who say it couldn't be bad after all this time, I believe SOU genuinely were sitting on their hands for months waiting for gear until a fortnight ago. So it's still by no means a slam dunk, and it's become a bigger risk than I ever intended to get into (nobody's fault but my own). Bit of an error in my calculation there -- China's extra annual coal use is 3 times Irelands total emissions, not 30 times. But the fact remains we need to get a sense of proportion. Ireland has reduced its GHG emissions by a princely 14% in the 16 years to 2017. China has eaten up all those savings just by its ADDITIONAL use of coal SINCE THE START OF THIS MONTH !

Phoebus, 40% of all human CO2 emissions come from burning coal. India burns as much as the US and EU combined, and is increasing at 5% per year. China burns five times as much as India and is increasing at 3% per year. The US has reduced its consumption by 40% in fifteen years because of the cheapness of natural gas.

Each year, just the INCREASE in China's coal consumption generates thirty times more CO2 than Ireland produces from ALL sources -- energy, transport, agriculture, etc. I am highly in favour of addressing climate concerns, but it gets my goat to hear innumerate greenies wittering about leaving fossil fuels in the ground when natural gas exploitation is possibly the number one way we currently have of REDUCING emissions.

I've no problem with sensible precautions on climate change. But if you're just going to cripple your own extractive industries and force your economy to purchase the same resources from elsewhere at a higher price, you are actually DAMAGING your ability to fight climate change. Right now, anything which fails to address the elephant in the room -- coal burning in Asia -- is completely futile.
