Looks like DCCAE's failure to get the finger out has become an existential crisis for Providence. It sounds like we are out of cash by the end of the month, with not even the means to pay our way until the slimming-down exercise in Q4. The repeated extensions on the APEC money make more sense -- we have no choice, being caught between a rock and hard place. Seems to me like this week is make or break, as both the APEC and DCCAE delays start to look more intentional and more sinister.

I don't think I've been draconian Jones. Dunno about you, but I have better things to be doing than reading about the price of spam fritters, the contents of someone's wine cellar, or why Sound's CEO is scum of the century. A handful of posters lay waste to this board daily, so I lay waste to their posts. Everyone else gets my gratitude for useful information.

Oh you're welcome Jones. I came up with a solution to that. I just took all the people who spend too much time humouring the people I blocked ... and blocked them too.

The falling pound is just an additional nightmare for those of us who didn't buy in Sterling in the first place. And for you who did, external inflation will erode your gains too, just less visibly. Here's hoping the Brecon and Radnorshire by-election is the start of something that will eventually rescue the currency. (And yeah, I know that comment will draw some flak).

Many thanks Urraca, that is absolutely the most exciting thing I have seen in a long time. When you go delving there is plenty of technical information available on the web. I'm definitely no expert but I can read technical literature pretty well. And as far as I can judge it looks pretty real, and near term. The deciding factor in power applications will always be cost, but even if this depended for commerciality on existing emission credit schemes it would be a viable zero-carbon process alongside renewables. Definitely one to follow with great interest.

Did someone here just say JP would be too embarrassed to sell the company for 50p/share? Are you freakin' nuts? You could easily get a majority of shareholders willing to sell at that price. While some of you are screechin' and wailing and parading your "End is Nigh" placards, even some of us Gherkin patsies are busy averaging down to where 50p would be a handsome return.

There's another $10m due before commencement of drilling. If it's really anti-money laundering that's holding up the show they better start transferring the second tranche as soon the the survey permit issues.

Just to note, next Monday it'll be two calendar months since the first RNS about extensions to the date for the APEC money. Although that RNS itself alluded to a string of previous extensions that we weren't told about. A positive RNS tomorrow would be nice (though I won't be holding my breath),

The Dublin market is still looking weird. Only two transactions in two and a half days days, one of which was off market and the other was an after hours auction of just 2,452 shares which set the current 9 cent price. And nothing at all since the day before yesterday.

Speaking of which, Sterling getting massacred today as well. It seems BoJo's Brexit optimism is not shared by the markets.

Only two PZQA transactions on the ISEQ today (or Euronext, or whatever it's called now). Still weird that someone sold for 30% lower than previous. That's where I bought my shares too, btw. Bit worried about lack of liquidity, but then would have lost even more on FX had I bought on the LSE way back when.

Well, no money in the bank yet. Extension till Friday, surprise, surprise. However, it's claimed that the money has come out of APEC's accounts and is thus firmly "in transit". I reckon that's real enough for me. Money and permit this week.

anovas -- thanks for the ship info. I didn't realise we'd switched horses again. Was a bit discouraged when I thought our nag was in Panama. Let's hope the Kommandor avoids the usual PVR jinxes and doesn't collide with anything in the English Channel.

The Kommandor was the ship used last year for the Newgrange survey. The Barryroe survey ship is the Ocean Observer.

Mamms, where are you getting your information about the survey vessel? VesselFinder.com has it on the wrong (i.e. Pacific) side of the Panama Canal. But that was on June 19th, with no updates since.
