I spent some time looking through data last night solely on Myprotein - I actually think the website has seen increased traffic for Q1?

I'm seeing a lot more MyProtein ads - This was tests on a clean device just looking around fitness in general to see how their targeting works... I'm seeing increased traffic, better click through rate with a nice mix of traffic - Somehow MyProtein might have just shown growth in Q1.

Deliver once in your life THG! The share could be at IPO price in 5 years time say with some great strategic moves but it just won't be.

I also wouldn't oppose the idea of share buy back but for me servicing the debt comes first - Thankfully we have 1 thing going in our favour Mr D. Trump. US has to refinance Trillions in debt this year, very soon so will be looking for very favourable rates

Selkirk will allow THG to maintain a majority stake within nutrition if you listed to Iain talk.

E-Comm/SaaS/Digital Media/D2C companies up-to £1B valuation buying. There is very very very few companies that tick all of those boxes. Iain will pick a business he understands as he is the Investment Manager he will be the one picking the Investment.

Kelso know THG, Iain knows THG - It's a business they know very well.

Supply chain issues of which we know THG has within nutrition. That's the only sticking point for me would be the exposure to whey prices having such an Impact on my margin but that's tackled by ANOTHER rebrand (Of which they said they'd do) it then creates more premium looking products to raise prices.

But I'm probably wrong :)

Funnily enough I watched it a few days back too. It all points to THG/Nutrition being the sub div being bought up.

They've sat on the board of HUT Group before, they know the business inside and out alongside the supported friendship of both CEO's - It makes sense to me as nutrition just isn't being fully unlocked it has such potential (Which is why I'm invested here because of the potential THG has/had)

Pure speculation here but...

Lucy appointed CEO of Nutrition and Beauty to replace MM on the Selkirk bid (And ultimate acceptance as that would give a market value of about 2.5B - 3B which negates the 'Significantly undervalues the company at 1.70 argument' NOTE I say market value (Not market cap)

Why appoint 2 ceo's!? It does not make any sense at all - Lucy will be promoted to Group CEO officially and MM steps down to focus on Ingenuity whilst taking a seat on the board.

THG turns into a cash cow, MM has then given himself years effectively to get Ingenuity self-sufficient from a cashflow stand point.

Every single person wins then bar those shorting.

Not enough volume for MA TR1 yet

MA needed more than 41M shares to take him over the next TR1 reporting requirement which is 10%, volume doesn't correlate just yet...

Last time volume was this high it was MA (So it suggests it's just MA building a more aggressive stake in the company) I think people are forgetting how much money MA actually has..... He himself has hedge fund capital to throw around on these shorts - I mean he lost £150M in debenhams then tried offering another £200M cash injection

This will keep going on until a big capital event pops this balloon. SP suggests THG is going bankrupt - Sure it has debt but FCF + (Cash is king) so we're good!

How does that conversation even go?

"Hi Matt, I'm going to short your company so I can pick up more voting shares?"

The thing that bugs me is THG's lack of defence or any defence at all - Surely if someone was aggressively buying up your company through the use of CFDs whilst creating a double bottom (OF ALL TIME LOW) it just completely baffles me.

Only people it's screwing short term is PIs... We aren't privy to the same information even though some of us own close to 0.4% of the company Individually. It's getting ridiculous, I know there's no emotion when trading but the frustration with MM/BOD is peak.

His broker certainly earns their fees... Nice trading tbh - Why overpay?

It'll be Frasers increasing short to now slowly buy up and cross the 10% threshold.

SP will be all over the place the next 2-3 weeks unless we get Selkirk to pop MA balloon which I doubt.

It's now given up all of the gains it's had the past 2-3 days..

We either have to trust THG to deliver (Hasn't ever done) or we wait for a bid as THG have 0 control over the SP. The lack of defence from THG tells a lot, All eyes on results Q1 (I have noticed a massive uptake in myprotein ads - So they must be really pushing marketing to bring up the rev figure for Q1)

I don't think it's a potential bid as both previous times we've seen good volume with multiple days of up followed by an announcement pretty fast.

It has to of been a fund buying a few million shares before inclusion to then sell off into the inclusion volume.

Selkirk have what 12 business days remaining to announce their takeover target....

Selkirk announce TO talks for nutrition for £1B > That then starts the 28 days to send through docs to shareholders (Formalising offer) > Hits as FTSE 250 Inclusion > THG now has to re-rate > Funds now have to buy even more shares and 1 last FU to the market whilst creating a capital event to bring life back to the SP> We now sit at min £1.20

Also where did Cityspy disappear to? He was sometimes right, often wrong.

This thing could give quite an impressive squeeze if all stars align (Most likely won't as it's THG)

But on little to no volume it's moving prices more than it should from a company this size. There's just no volume here... On inclusion day with sell pressure of 8:1 this thing could really take off for a nice intra-day squeeze.

Now my question is what caused the 8% day? As there's no TR1, I don't believe it was a short closing on that day either so what caused the volume was it a fund pre-buying for inclusion to FTSE 250 (As some will buy on announcement, only some)

Very slow start.... Minimal volume at all but there's also no sellers in the market right now hence the SP being out of wack so much earlier with Bid/Ask.

I'm just waiting for FY'24 results and FY'25 Q1 update... Please deliver for once..

It's what made me think it could be a short reducing, I was looking at the other companies being shorted by the funds to see if any of them had seen a similar increase as that would tell me who's reducing. But I didn't see anything.

So it could be funds buying before FTSE, it could be MA increasing his stake, it could be THG simply re-rating based on ?? (Unlikely as there no headlines published recently), It could be a takeover bid coming as THG has been leaky in the past actually around similar levels)

Who knows......

But the higher the SP the more shares they'll need to buy AUMvFTSE etc...

Selkirk have yet to make a move - That's probably the last line of defence if MA was attempting a TO (Highly unlikely)

So with MA building a stake that says to me Selkirk is not eyeing up Nutrition Or they sell nutrition completely, pay off the debt and re-build as a beauty business (highly unlikely again)

I've no idea what's at play right now. I just want to be sat in profit with a SL healthy in profit so I never have to think of this chitshow again.

We'd be trading significantly higher if the use of shorts weren't inplay to completely destroy the SP.

Should have known as soon as we saw Frasers name pop up.... He aggressively shorts & buys at the same time to acquire 10-15% before 21st March? So we see minimal price action of maybe 36p by 21st if we're lucky.

I believe they will need about 50-70M shares of THG in total - So some will buy before the 21st but a lot will buy on and after 21st. Passive & managed funds

We'll see. I can't think of any reason for a fund to sell down THG now as it's more attractive today than it was yesterday.

FTSE 250 v MCAP = % of fund to buy, Higher MCAP = More % funds hold that track FTSE 250

Well now it's announced funds will either start to build a stake now or on the 21st - Either way we should see a nice 10% + gain from yesterdays date... As long as no one is selling out at the same time (Which they shouldn't be)

All we need is for everyone to play ball and no-one ruin the party by dumping 5-10M shares on the market and we should see a rise into the mid 40's. THG is not a liquid stock - Simple economics. Supply/Demand at play here (But someone will probably ruin the THG party)

Ingenuity - THG have the perfect business synergy. They need each other and MM has set them up like that on purpose.... I also can't fault Ingenuity giving the ability to order products up to 12:30am for next day delivery (Or same day in some instances)

In theory you take a customer through the whole journey with THG. Get advertisements created with THG Studios to then push new SKU's via THG Commerce (D2C) fulfilled by THG Fulfil

PE coming in to offer say £1.7B again for THG.

Now the problem. You have given up a large chunk of capital and have left Matthew Moulding in charge of it?... That's the problem. He's shown the market how he can waste money... Hasn't shown it how he can make money as on that front he misses every time.
