Actually, I agree with you comparison on price fluctuations. UKOG does have a very difficult environment to work in with regulations and the difficulty in extracting commercial volumes of oil. What I never understood is why they put in a complicated curved pipe at BB instead of straight down like Horse Hill.

SILAS242, I know what I would do if I was holding UKOG, and I wouldn't be topping up. Not that I would be interested anyway.

If they are day traders then I don't think they are very good ones. I mean anyone seriously setting up as a day trader needs a fast platform, work on the main markets, and use much larger sums of money. Even then it is getting much harder to day trade, as the professionals will know. 99% of professional traders use long time horizons like 6 - 18 months, or longer.

Maybe they want you to pay a bit more :)

Cyrox, most AIM stocks spike up at various times. But the point is people tend to jump ship if they see another share shooting up, and find out they have bought at the top. It's not the fault of the market it's the behaviour of people. Fortunately, some learn that if they buy good companies when they are cheap and just wait, they are generally rewarded.

Wait for all the people coming back here later saying they were spiked on UKOG and ROCK.

You will always get these guys switching to anything that looks like it's going up, like ROCK and UKOG. But it won't last. Best of luck to them.
