I take your point Investor. However, my view when the raise happened was that despite it being horribly low-ball, it didn't actually change the fundamentals of the company about which I was, and remain, very positive. Buck's explanation for the raise was always that it could be accretive in allowing relatively minor works to be undertaken to improve production significantly. I bought into that idea and loaded up accordingly around 1.7 and 1.8p. I understand the 'falling knife' caveats but being able to pick up a big chunk of shares at massively knock-down prices in what I consider to be a cracking company the making outweighed such arguments. I respect the opposing view however as for sure MATD has not been an easy hold for long-termers. Luckily for me I've had very good profits from MAFL to put in here.

I agree that mistakes were made. However, we all assume that Buck could've got a raise away at 2p back then. That's something we can't know. Surely Petrovis would've have been as irked as any other investor but that didn't stop them taking another $300K's worth. That was a massive signal to load up at the bottom, which is what I did.

I expressed my anger about the low-ball raise to the company in no uncertain terms. However, the point about raises is that if they turn out to be accretive, as the last one seems to be now, then investors can live with them - the extra long-term value outweighs the effects the initial dilution.

I just hope honest long-termers were able to take advantage at those ridiculously low prices Investor. Amazing how doing so brings the average down in big chunks. It was really almost giving them away when the price went so low.

Presumably Petrovis are now a lot happier about things too - their contribution in the last placing is up around 70k. Important to keep them onside. Clearly picking these up at .8p was a no-brainer for them too.

Exactly my thoughts Abzzba. We still win in the long-term even if H2 becomes an injector. Presumably we'll have to put in place injector wells anyway as the wider field develops. Plus anything that supports H1 has to be a good move too. What seems certain is that H2 will play a key role going forward so money well spent.

What's nice now is that since Gazelle came good so enthusiastically that we're on a free carry with H2. Absolute massive bonus if it comes in but we've got a new well tucked under the belt already if it doesn't.
